Why Can Holding Multiple Related Coins Still Fail to Truly Diversify Risk?

In cryptocurrency trading, some people hold BTC, ETH, and other altcoins at the same time to reduce risk. They believe that as long as they hold enough different coins, gains in other assets may offset losses if one of them falls.

But there is an easily overlooked problem: holding multiple different coins does not mean you have truly diversified your risk. If these assets are highly correlated under market stress, they may fall at the same time.

First, why might different coins fall together?

$ONE Current price: 0.001925, up 69.90% in 24h. RSI at 77.3 has entered overbought territory, and the 30-candle range is 48.02%, with volatility at an extreme level. The funding rate is -0.0003%, so shorts are still paying, but the Fear & Greed Index is only 25. Short squeezes amid extreme fear are often accompanied by sharp pullbacks. Assessment: The medium-term bullish structure remains intact (MA5 crossed above MA20, MACD histogram is positive), but chasing the rally in the short term offers a very poor risk-reward ratio. Only enter on a pullback; do not chase.

T1's win rate actually dropped after beating DK 3:1. Seems they didn't win decisively enough. Doran is T1's biggest wildcard: either he makes a god-tier play or sleepwalks and feeds. It's hard not to worry about his form, to the point that everyone's asking whether T1 still needs a top laner...

Why do you need a 100% gain to break even after a 50% loss?

In cryptocurrency trading, many people see their assets fall by 50% and think that a 50% price rebound will restore their original capital.

But this is a common mathematical misconception.

Losses and the gains needed to break even are not symmetrical. The greater the loss, the higher the return needed to restore the original capital. That is why controlling drawdowns is more important than trying to make up for losses afterward.

First, why doesn’t a 50% gain make up for a 50% loss?

Suppose you initially invest 1,000 USDT.

$ONE I’m not chasing this candle that’s nearly 70 points. One word of advice: don’t. The old chain is shut down, the mainnet has stopped, and the browser will permanently close next week—somehow, a project’s “shutdown narrative” has driven trading volume up around 50-fold. This isn’t a coin being traded; it’s a table that’s being cleared away. Anyone still picking at the food knows what they’re doing. It’s still holding near the highs on the 7th, the classic last fireworks before shutdown. Same goes for those rushing in on the “migration” story: what they’re holding isn’t a card, but a fire in

What Is the Risk-Reward Ratio? Why Can a Trading Strategy with a High Win Rate Still Lose Money Over the Long Term?

In cryptocurrency trading, some traders place great importance on their win rate. They want to win at least seven out of ten trades, believing that as long as they make the right call often enough, they can keep making money.

But real trading results depend not only on how many times you win, but also on how much you earn on each winning trade, how much you lose on each losing trade, and how high your trading costs are.

That is why the risk-reward ratio and win rate must be an

Why Is Position Sizing More Important Than Simply Lowering Leverage?

In cryptocurrency trading, many people think first of lowering leverage when they want to reduce risk. But a more important question is often overlooked: how large a position have you actually opened, and how much could this trade cost your account at most?

Leverage determines how capital is used, while position size directly affects how price movements impact profit and loss. Lowering leverage without controlling position size does not necessarily reduce risk effectively.

First, actual risk exposure is what affects profit

Others trade stocks by looking at candlestick charts; I look at financial statements first: Does this company really have what it takes?

The stock market is never short on stories: artificial intelligence today, new energy tomorrow, and another hot trend the day after. The concepts change every day, but your wallet doesn’t necessarily grow along with them.
When deciding whether a company is worth paying attention to, I look at its financial statements first. Is revenue growing? Are net profits improving consistently? Is operating cash flow keeping pace? These figures are far more reliable tha

U.S. stocks rebounded on Friday, but BTC is still in the same place—$75,900, moving just $1,400 in 24 hours.#加密市场承压 #ETH跌5.5%

Friday’s U.S. market close: Nasdaq up 2.18%, semiconductor ETF SOXX up 3.51%, and Dow up 2.47%, hitting a new all-time high—a technical rebound after Thursday’s sharp drop, with semiconductors leading the way.
But BTC didn’t follow. This morning, BTC was around $75,900, down just 0.3% in 24 hours, with a daily range of 74,888–76,404 and a swing of less than 2%; ETH was around $2,240, basically flat. XRP stood out among the movers: down 2.3%, the weakest among major co

How can you use your maximum affordable loss to work backward and determine a reasonable position size for each trade?

In crypto trading, many people think first about how much to buy or how much leverage to use when opening a position, but they have not calculated in advance how much they would actually lose if the trade goes against them.

A more disciplined approach is to first determine the maximum loss you can afford, then work backward from the entry price and stop-loss distance to determine a reasonable position size. This method can help traders apply consistent risk standards and avo

U.S. Stock Futures Diverge; Semiconductor Giants AMD and TSMC Rally

U.S. stock futures are diverging, with AMD and TSMC rallying over 5% in pre-market trading. However, the ticker tags tell a different story: AMD is down 17.64%, TSM is down 10.96%, and the SPX500 is down 3.86%.

This headline captures the chaotic nature of the current market, particularly in the semiconductor sector. "Diverging" futures mean investors are uncertain, with some indices pointing up and others down. The pre-market rally in AMD and TSMC suggests that there was highly positive sector-specific news overnight—perhap

Tech Stocks Plunge: Is Buffett-Style Investing Back in Favor? Three Sectors Worth Revisiting!

As AI darling stocks plunge across the board, investors are finally remembering one thing: There are other options in the stock market besides tech stocks.
All 11 sectors of the U.S. stock market fell on Thursday, suggesting this is not simply a rotation within tech stocks, but a clear decline in overall market risk appetite.
If the market remains volatile, I’ll focus on three areas.
First, consumer staples. Demand is relatively stable, and corporate earnings may be less affected by economic fluctuat

U.S. stocks sold off sharply on Thursday, November 5 (UTC). The Nasdaq closed down around 5.5%, entering correction territory, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index plunged roughly 12%, with chip stocks including $NVDA and $AMD posting steep losses. Beyond profit-taking, investors are growing concerned about the pace of AI data center construction, capital spending, and future returns on investment. The key question now is whether the AI sector’s lofty growth expectations need to be repriced. Where do you think the next opportunities will emerge: chip stocks, tech giants, or other sectors?
