🇵🇾 Paraguay in turmoil, USDT once again becomes a safe haven
Ueno, Paraguay’s largest digital bank, collapsed after a scandal involving excessive loans to companies linked to relatives. The case triggered a political crisis, with the central bank governor resigning and the president facing impeachment.
• 3 million customers cannot access their accounts, and their deposits are trapped. Many have been forced to sell crypto to cover payroll and living expenses.
• Others have turned to USDT to preserve value. On the P2P market, USDT has at times traded around 13% above its usual price.

🎯 Decoding Institutional Footprints: My Core Technical Framework for Stock Market Allocations

Navigating highly volatile global stock markets requires a stark departure from speculative guesswork or chasing media hype. True profitability relies entirely on identifying quantifiable, repeatable market signals that separate casual retail trends from sustained institutional accumulation. For serious market participants, a stock's chart is not just a collection of random price bars it is a live map of supply, demand, and structural capital allocation. To consistently extract val

#每周来晒 #美股史诗级抛售 Deleveraging or the Start of a Deeper AI Correction? What Thursday's Tape Tells Us
Thursday's sell-off was the kind of session that makes investors ask whether the AI trade is breaking. The Nasdaq 100 fell about 6.4% and erased roughly $2.5 trillion in market value, its deepest one-day drop since "Liberation Day" in April 2025, according to Reuters. Chip stocks posted their second-biggest one-day fall on record. The question is whether this is a forced reset or the first leg of a longer unwind.

The numbers from the close

From the Gate feed's closing prints on 5 November: NVIDIA closed at $181.60, down 9.26%. AMD fell 17.26% to $404.40. Broadcom dropped 10.43% to $291.53. Meta slipped 3.96% and Microsoft 3.58%. Apple, Amazon and Alphabet held up better, falling between about 1.5% and 2.2%. The S&P 500 ETF (SPY) closed at $733.00, down 4.41%, and the Nasdaq 100 ETF (QQQ) at $647.05, down 6.49%.

What set it off

This was not a simple earnings miss. Investors reacted to the midterm result and to the possibility that a Democratic Congress and new state leaders could slow data-center construction. UBS estimated that nearly a third of new US data-center capacity due in 2028 could be delayed if construction pauses spread. That turns a valuation debate into a supply-chain question, and it touches chips, servers, power utilities and data-center operators at once.

Why I lean toward a deeper correction, not just deleveraging

Deleveraging explains the speed of the fall, but it does not explain why the damage spread through the whole supply chain. Data-center operators fell more than 14%, server makers and power names fell 7% to 9%, and GE Vernova dropped 7.4%. When the selling reaches the buyers of chips, not just the chips, investors are repricing the spending itself.

Rates offered no rescue. Treasury yields eased, and futures pushed the next expected Fed hike out to around March 2027. In a normal sell-off, lower yields help growth stocks. Here, they did not, because the market is worried about earnings from AI capex, not about financing costs.

Where I would place the next bet

Chip stocks are the highest-beta expression of the AI trade, and they will likely bounce hardest on any stabilization. But bounces inside a broken trend are dangerous. I would wait for NVIDIA to reclaim its prior support zone on a closing basis before treating a rally as more than a relief move.

Tech giants like Microsoft, Apple and Alphabet look more resilient, because their earnings do not depend entirely on new data-center construction. They fell less on Thursday, and they are the more defensive way to stay in the AI theme. The trade-off is that they also have less upside if the buildout accelerates.

Defensive sectors such as utilities and consumer staples have not been the leaders this week. Utilities that serve data centers have been hit, which shows that "defensive" depends on the specific exposure. Broader defensive sectors may be the safer place to wait while the AI trade resets.

What would change my view

I would call this a short-term deleveraging if NVIDIA and AMD stabilize above their Thursday lows, if data-center operators stop cutting guidance, and if tomorrow's jobs report keeps rate expectations steady. I would call it a deeper correction if those lows break, if capacity delays move from forecasts into actual order cuts, or if the Fed debate shifts back toward hikes with weak growth.

My bottom line

The sell-off looks more like a repricing of the AI build-out's timeline than a collapse in demand for AI itself. That makes it dangerous for anyone who bought the leaders at the top of the trend. I favor waiting for confirmation in chips, holding tech giants as the core AI exposure, and keeping some cash or defensive weight until the supply-chain picture clears.
Which do you favor next: chip stocks, tech giants or defensive sectors? Share your reasoning and the level that would change your mind.

$HYPE registered approximately $5.03K in short liquidations near $79.209, suggesting that buyers managed to force some bearish positions out of the market. The liquidation activity points toward possible upside pressure, but the next move depends on whether price can maintain its structure above nearby demand. Watch for a clean breakout and retest before expecting continuation.

On Gearbox’s mEDGE / USDC page, Net APY (7D) at 6.0x leverage was shown as -2.97%.
Collateral APY (7D) was 28.98%, while Borrow Rate (7D) was 31.95%, making the difference negative. The APY on the list or strategy page combines collateral yield and borrowing costs; it is not a standalone figure.

$UAI is attracting attention following short liquidations near $0.14637, indicating that sellers are facing pressure. The next important development is whether buyers can maintain momentum and establish a higher low. A clean reclaim of nearby resistance could signal further upside.
Support: $0.140 – $0.146
Resistance: $0.150 – $0.156
Next Target: $0.162 – $0.170
If price breaks above resistance with strong buying volume, the bullish continuation setup becomes more convincing. Watch for confirmation.

What Is Open Interest (OI), and What Market Changes Can It Help Us Understand?

In crypto derivatives trading, many people watch prices and trading volume every day but overlook another important metric: open interest, or OI.

OI can help us understand how many contracts in the derivatives market remain open and observe market participation and changes in positions. But it is not a foolproof indicator for predicting price movements and needs to be analyzed alongside prices and other data.

First, what exactly is OI?

Open interest refers to the number of contracts that have not yet been settle

BTW, is an airdrop about to happen?
The airdrop wallet transferred $36 million out.
That money is still sitting untouched in the wallet.
No airdrop of this size has been distributed in the past year.
I think this is most likely a bear trap.
With the token price this high, distributing an airdrop is just asking for trouble, isn’t it?

The Prize Pool Is Fixed, but Your Reward Depends on Your Share

Gate Launchpool has introduced a Velas (VLX) staking event with a total reward allocation of 450,000 VLX. The attractive part is not simply the size of the reward pool; it is how the distribution works and how each participant's contribution affects their eventual allocation.

Instead of buying VLX directly, eligible users can stake supported assets such as GT, USDT or designated project tokens in the available pools. Reward

How Many Holders Does a Token Have, and Does That Tell Us Whether It’s Safe?

When researching a Web3 project, many people start by looking at a few numbers:

How many holders are there? Is the number of holders growing steadily? Is the token already distributed across many wallets?

These figures are useful points of reference, but judging a project's safety solely by its number of holders can easily lead to the wrong conclusion.

The number of holders reflects one aspect of token distribution, not the complete picture of a project's safety.

1. A large number of holders does not necessarily

Short- and long-term views on gold: Gold is still in a short-term downtrend. Personally, I don't think around 3,900 is the bottom; the short-term trend bottom should be around 3,500. For a spot allocation, you can scale in below 4,000. As for the long-term bullish case for gold, it has long-term allocation value, mainly based on two factors: First, the U.S. debt burden continues to grow, putting increasing pressure on public finances, and the need for monetary easing and liquidity expansion may persist for a long time. Second, breakthroughs in AI technology could significantly boost social pro

What does real peace of mind look like?
It’s not a smiling face when the market is up, nor a platform customer service rep saying, “Dear user, rest assured.”
It’s being able to find public information and verification evidence when users want to understand the status of funds! 😂
Gate pioneered proof of funds security, and this move has once again put fund transparency at the center of industry discussion.
