Proof-of-Useful Work (PoUW) is roaring back, fueled by the AI boom. Instead of wasteful hashing, what if the same compute that secures a blockchain could also produce real value, such as: AI inference and training? The idea is elegant. The implementation has been brutally hard.

And as OpenAI announced, they will cut prices, a move likely to be followed by Anthropic as well. The commoditization of AI is just inevitable and it's not just exclusively about the intelligence. Props to Ricky’s analysis here.

Claude Fable 5 landed, and I’m still in full-on autistic hyperfocus mode poking at every corner of it. Here’s where I’m at so far. ✅ Pros - Honestly kind of blown away by the sheer horsepower, especially if you’re doing real coding, heavy lifting, and trying to run ambitious
