Agile Robots CEO Zhaopeng Chen told the WSJ the company has raised about $1.5B in total to date.
The group has also acquired more than a dozen businesses.
Bloomberg reported in June that Agile was seeking around $800M, with SoftBank considering >$300M.
Agile has not disclosed whether that process closed or how the cumulative $1.5B was assembled.
The German company applies AI to industrial automation and also develops the Agile ONE humanoid.
It generated €300M in revenue in 2025 and expects about €600M this year, backed by signed contracts.

Germany is producing a significant cluster of robotics and autonomy funding this year.
Yesterday, Munich-founded microagi announced a $55 million seed round, which the company described as the largest seed financing in German history.
It joins several much larger rounds across the stack, four of which were announced within the past five weeks.
NEURA Robotics announced a Series C of up to $1.4 billion for its physical AI platform.
Quantum Systems signed a $1.2 billion Series D to scale autonomous systems across air, land and sea.
Helsing raised $1.8 billion at an $18 billion valuation as it exp

A British maritime-autonomy unicorn was born this week.
Kraken Technology Group raised $175 million in a Series B at a $1 billion valuation.
The company builds uncrewed maritime systems and has secured contracts from the UK Ministry of Defence, NATO European partners and US Special Operations Command.
It is also expanding local production through Rheinmetall in Germany, Anduril in the US and Davie Shipbuilding in Canada.
The new capital will support further platform development and international manufacturing.
Here are the other major capital moves across robots, drones and autonomy this week.

Earlier this year, Unitree said it designs and develops more than 90% of its core hardware internally.
This week, co-founder Chen Li said Unitree's upstream joint-motor supply chain now extends little beyond raw materials such as copper wire and permanent magnets
While Reuters reported its planned RMB 4.2B (~US$619M) IPO will partly fund a smart manufacturing base.

Lower-cost mobile manipulators are being pushed into more people’s hands.
Today, San Francisco-based @bracketbot said it is building 100 Gen 2.5 robots for offices, retail, research labs, startups and homes.
Pricing will be under $3,000 with option to buy planned by end of summer. Current efforts position around scaling data collection on embodiment and training models.
At the same time, @NoriRobotics has opened orders for Nori L2, targeting an initial batch of 100. The company says the robot is made in SF, with pricing starting at $1,288 and the larger version listed at $1,388.

Humanoid production claims are accelerating; here is where the numbers actually stand.
In 2025, the disclosed production leaders were Unitree, with more than 5,500 humanoids shipped and more than 6,500 produced and AGIBOT, which claimed 5,168 units produced across its wheeled and bipedal lines.
In 2026, production claims have started to ramp across the board.
The recurring number is 10,000 units; but that figure means different things depending on who is saying it. Sometimes it is a factory ramp plan. Sometimes it is an annual capacity target. Sometimes it is a production-line milestone. The

German defence-autonomy startup STARK announced this week it secured €500M in new funding at a reported €3.5B valuation.
The round, backed by Founders Fund and Sequoia Capital, follows a rapid valuation climb from a reported $500M in 2025 to one of Europe’s highest-profile defence-autonomy startups.
It also lands in the middle of a broader German defence-autonomy and physical AI capital cycle:
NEURA Robotics raised up to $1.4B earlier this month, Quantum Systems secured a €150M financing package, Helsing has been reported near a further $1.2B raise, while Agile Robots is said to be in talks f
