US officials believe Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had a romantic relationship with a woman they say was recruited as a Chinese SPY

In June 2024 she told a group of tech executives at a Taipei bar that she could get Jensen to come, and then he showed up
Nvidia is the most valuable company in the world and its chips power most of the AI boom
Her name is Alice Huang, a Chinese citizen with no relation to Jensen, and she was a top executive at Megaspeed, a Singapore data center company that buys Nvidia chips
In late 2024 a US Commerce official visited a Megaspeed data center in Malaysia and found the Nvidia servers still sealed in their crates
US agencies were monitoring Alice Huang's communications when they found her in contact with an American whose name was hidden in the intercepts
They unmasked him and it was Jensen Huang
In May 2025 cameras caught her standing right behind him while he talked to reporters in Taipei
US intelligence concluded she was passing information to Beijing
Trump was briefed about a year ago and took no action
Officials don't believe Jensen had any idea, and he was never given a defensive briefing, the warning agencies sometimes give Americans targeted by foreign spies
This year he personally lobbied Trump to let Nvidia sell its H200 chips to China
When The New York Times broke the story on October 29, Nvidia said Jensen "talks with thousands of customer executives every year"
Days later three House committee chairs asked him to brief them behind closed doors on November 18
Then the Financial Times reported that a US government memo says the relationship was romantic and that China's Ministry of State Security recruited her
Nvidia declined to comment on that part
A suspected Chinese spy told a Taipei bar she could summon the man who sells the world its AI chips, he showed up, and nobody in Washington ever warned him
I think it's wild that the most important supply chain in tech can apparently be reached through one man's social calendar
