🚨 Samsung has added USDC to its wallet.

And the reason Pi chose OUSD now seems clearer.

Flash: Samsung Wallet is launching USDC stablecoin accounts based on Solana·Sui on about 82 million Galaxy devices in the US.
Users can buy, hold, and send USDC, and even make remittances to more than 60 countries.
Crypto is no longer “just another app,”
but is integrated into the wallets we already use 🚀
This is more than just a simple feature addition.
👉 It signals that “stablecoins are becoming everyday payment infrastructure.”
━━━━━━━━━━
💜 That makes Pi × OUSD even more significant
━━━━━━━━━━
OUSD, the option Pi chose, is not just another dollar-pegged coin.

At the heart of the Open Standard model
is a structure where businesses are rewarded in proportion to their contributions.
🔹 Partners that generate circulation, usage, and activity share in reserve earnings
🔹 Partners are no longer just channels, but stakeholders
🔹 More than 200 businesses, financial institutions, and fintech companies are already involved
🔹 Founding partners include Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, Coinbase, Shopify, and others
🔹 It connects with existing infrastructure already familiar in payments, settlement, and commerce

In other words, OUSD
is closer to a structure where “the ecosystem grows it together and benefits together”
than one where users “borrow someone else’s stablecoin.”
━━━━━━━━━━
📌 Why this is beneficial for Pi
━━━━━━━━━━
The direction Pi has consistently emphasized has never changed.
PI = the network’s primary cryptocurrency
Stablecoins = complementary assets that reduce price volatility
With OUSD added:
✅ Price-stable settlement in apps and payments becomes easier
✅ It creates room for Pioneer rewards and ecosystem utility experiments
✅ The more business partners there are, the greater the incentives to circulate OUSD
✅ PI remains the core asset, while OUSD lubricates its supporting use cases

The Samsung example shows the same thing.
People aren’t going out to learn a new chain,
but encountering stablecoins in products they already use.
Pi is addressing the same challenge.
Apps → payments → real-world use → stablecoin support → demand for PI
━━━━━━━━━━
Of course, the details of OUSD’s integration with Pi Mainnet and rewards have not been finalized.
There’s no need to overstate things.
But the direction seems clear.

The stablecoin competition is no longer about
“who is more well-known,”
but “who shares the benefits with businesses and users.”
On the day Samsung added USDC to its wallet,
the reason Pi chose OUSD’s partner-reward model
felt more convincing 💜
