Strong employment data does not always signal a rally; markets will focus on how these figures might influence the policy of the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed).
Ahead of the Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report, my stance is one of "cautious optimism." Rather than taking aggressive positions before the data is released, it would be wiser to observe the market's initial reaction and the movement in interest rates.
My NFP Strategy: Strong Employment or a Healthy Cooling-Off?
The ADP report for October showed that the U.S. private sector added 86,000 new jobs—a figure that exceeded economists' expectations of 69,000. However, I do not believe this automatically guarantees a bullish response in the financial markets.
In my view, the nature of the employment data is far more significant than the headline figure itself.
Here is my assessment of potential scenarios:
1: NFP data stronger than expected
* It could reinforce confidence in the resilience of the U.S. economy.
* It may drive up Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar.
* A weakening of expectations for Fed interest rate cuts could exert short-term pressure on Bitcoin, gold, and growth-oriented stocks.
2: NFP data weaker than expected
* It could bolster expectations for monetary easing.
* By pushing bond yields lower, it could provide support for gold, Bitcoin, and stocks. However, excessively weak employment figures could trigger recession fears and a trend toward risk aversion.
3: Moderate employment growth — My preferred scenario
A gradual cooling of the labor market—occurring without any significant deterioration—could provide the most balanced environment for financial markets.
My Trading Strategy
I am closely monitoring three specific assets:
* BTC: I am tracking its movements around critical technical support and resistance levels, as well as its reaction to Treasury bond yields.
* U.S. Equities: I am watching whether earnings growth can continue to support valuations, despite uncertainties surrounding interest rates.
* Gold: I am observing whether a decline in real yields and a weakening dollar might create new upside potential.
My preference is to avoid taking aggressive positions ahead of the announcement. I prefer to wait for the initial wave of volatility to subside, assess the market's direction, and then look for a confirmed entry opportunity.
For the markets, the "best" NFP (Non-Farm Payroll) figure is not necessarily the highest employment number; rather, it is a figure that demonstrates economic resilience without fueling concerns about inflation and interest rates.
In uncertain markets, preserving capital and managing risk is just as important as identifying opportunities.
For me, the most critical factor is not whether the reported figure beats expectations, but rather how the Federal Reserve (Fed) and the financial markets interpret the data. A significant note regarding timing: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics calendar, the Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) data for October will be released on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 8:30 AM Eastern Time.
Furthermore, the 86,000-job increase reported by ADP does not necessarily mean the official NFP figure will be the same; general expectations from surveys point to a total increase of 65,000 jobs in the non-farm sector.
My preference: To remain on the sidelines until the data is released and then evaluate confirmed trading opportunities.
