Gate Launches Taiwan Stock Trading: A New Gateway to Global Investment Opportunities
The global financial market is evolving rapidly, and the boundaries between traditional financial markets and digital assets are becoming increasingly connected. Investors today are looking for more flexibility, better accessibility, diversified opportunities, and platforms that can bring multiple financial markets together under one ecosystem.
This is exactly where Gate continues to demonstrate its ambition.
Gate has officially expanded its stock trading services by introducing Taiwan stock trading, adding another important financial market to its growing global investment ecosystem. This launch is not just about adding a few new stock symbols. It represents another meaningful step toward making global financial markets more accessible through a unified digital trading experience.
With 19 Taiwan-listed stocks available at launch, Gate is opening a new opportunity for international users to explore one of Asia's most influential technology and manufacturing markets.
19 Taiwan Stocks: Expanding Access to Asia's Technology Leaders
Taiwan has an important position in the global economy, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing, artificial intelligence, electronics, advanced computing, and telecommunications
Some of the world's most influential technology companies operate within Taiwan's industrial ecosystem. Their products and innovations support smartphones, computers, cloud infrastructure, AI data centers, automotive technology, and next-generation digital devices.
Gate's initial selection includes several well-known companies:
TSMC (2330) – A global semiconductor manufacturing leader and a major supplier of advanced chips.
MediaTek (2454) – A leading semiconductor company known for mobile processors, connectivity solutions, and advanced computing technologies.
Hon Hai Precision Industry (2317) – Also known as Foxconn, a major electronics manufacturing company.
Quanta Computer (2382) – An important manufacturer of computers, servers, and AI-related infrastructure.
Chunghwa Telecom (2412) – One of Taiwan's major telecommunications companies.
Fubon Financial (2881) – A significant financial services group.
The remaining selection also provides exposure to semiconductor components, electronics manufacturing, finance, and other industries.
In my opinion, the most interesting aspect of this launch is the connection between traditional technology businesses and the growing global demand for artificial intelligence.
AI development requires more than powerful software. It needs advanced processors, semiconductor manufacturing capacity, high-performance servers, memory, networking equipment, and enormous computing infrastructure.
That is why Taiwan's technology sector deserves attention from investors who are following the long-term development of AI.
Why TSMC and MediaTek Deserve Attention
If I had to choose one Taiwan stock to study first, TSMC would be at the top of my watchlist.
TSMC plays a critical role in the semiconductor supply chain.
Advanced chips are essential for AI accelerators, data centers, smartphones, high-performance computing, and numerous other technologies.
As global companies continue investing in AI infrastructure, demand for advanced semiconductor manufacturing remains an important industry trend.
However, I would not buy TSMC simply because AI is popular. I would monitor quarterly revenue growth, gross margins, capital expenditure, advanced-node demand, customer orders, and management guidance.
MediaTek would be another interesting choice.
Its business exposure to mobile processors, connectivity, smart devices, and emerging AI-related computing creates several potential growth opportunities. I believe MediaTek deserves attention because the next phase of AI development will not be limited to large data centers. AI capabilities are also expanding into smartphones, personal devices, and connected technology.
My approach would be to compare both companies' financial performance, valuations, and future growth expectations before making an investment decision.
USDT-Based Trading: One of the Most Interesting Features
One of the strongest advantages of Gate's Taiwan stock launch is its USDT-based trading mechanism.
Users can trade the supported Taiwan stocks directly with USDT instead of manually converting their funds into New Taiwan Dollars before placing orders.
This creates a more convenient experience for investors who already manage their capital within the digital asset ecosystem.
Here is how the system works:
Users transfer USDT into their Gate Stocks account.
They select supported Taiwan stocks and place their orders.
Stock prices, portfolio values, and profit or loss are displayed in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD).
Trading fees are converted into USDT according to the applicable platform rates and exchange rates.
Fractional-share trading starts from just 0.01 shares.
The fractional-share feature is particularly interesting.
Not every investor wants to purchase an entire share, especially when investing in expensive companies. Starting from 0.01 shares gives users more flexibility when allocating smaller amounts of capital.
It also allows investors to build positions gradually instead of committing a large amount to a single purchase.
For me, this is a practical improvement because investment flexibility matters just as much as the number of available assets.
Gate Is Building a Global Multi-Asset Ecosystem
What makes this development even more impressive is that Taiwan is not an isolated addition.
Gate's stock trading services now cover five major markets:
United States stocks.
Hong Kong stocks.
South Korean stocks.
Japanese stocks.
Taiwan stocks.
Across these markets, Gate supports more than 12,800 stocks and ETFs.
This is a significant expansion of the platform's financial ecosystem.
Think about the possibilities. Investors can explore American technology companies, Japanese industrial leaders, South Korean semiconductor businesses, Hong Kong-listed companies, and Taiwan's technology manufacturers through one platform.
Instead of treating every market as a separate investment destination, Gate is working toward a more connected trading experience.
I believe this is an important direction for the future of financial platforms.
The financial industry is moving toward greater accessibility, and users increasingly expect to manage different types of investments without constantly switching between multiple platforms.
Gate's expansion into global equities, ETFs, digital assets, and other financial instruments reflects this changing market structure.
Why I Appreciate Gate's Continued Expansion
There are several reasons why I consider this launch an important development.
First, Gate is continuously expanding the range of financial opportunities available to its users. Rather than limiting its development to cryptocurrency trading, the platform is building connections with traditional financial markets.
Second, USDT-based access makes the experience more convenient for digital asset users who want exposure to traditional equities.
Third, fractional-share trading provides greater flexibility for different investment budgets.
Fourth, adding Taiwan strengthens Gate's presence in Asia's technology-driven financial markets.
Fifth, expanding the number of supported markets creates more opportunities for investors to diversify their portfolios.
Gate's development also goes beyond simply increasing the number of listed assets.
Its Proof of Reserves system provides another important part of its platform infrastructure. According to Gate's published October 18, 2026 reserve report, total reserves were approximately $8.68 billion, with an overall reserve ratio of 118%.
This represents an important transparency measure. I appreciate platforms that make reserve information available because trust, transparency, and security are essential in the digital financial industry.
Gate has been operating since 2013, and its continued product development demonstrates a long-term commitment to expanding its trading ecosystem.
My Investment Perspective: Opportunity With Risk Management
Although I appreciate Gate's Taiwan stock expansion, I believe investors should always separate a platform's new features from the actual investment risks of individual companies.
A new market listing does not automatically mean that every stock is undervalued or that prices will continue rising.
Taiwan's semiconductor industry is closely connected to global technology demand, international trade, AI investment, interest rates, and geopolitical developments.
These factors can create significant price movements.
Before entering a position, I would focus on:
Revenue and earnings growth.
Price-to-earnings ratios and company valuations.
Semiconductor demand and AI infrastructure investment.
Institutional buying and selling activity.
Global technology-sector sentiment.
Trading volume and liquidity.
Currency movements between TWD and USDT.
Support and resistance levels on individual stocks.
I would also avoid putting all my capital into one company. Building positions gradually and keeping sufficient available capital can help manage volatility.
Another important point is that Taiwan stocks follow their own exchange trading schedule. Regular continuous trading takes place from 09:00 to 13:25 UTC+8 on trading days. Investors should understand these market hours and the risks associated with price movements outside the trading session.
My Overall View
I see Gate's Taiwan stock launch as more than a simple product update. It is another step toward connecting traditional financial markets with the digital asset ecosystem.
The addition of 19 Taiwan stocks, direct USDT trading, fractional shares starting from 0.01, and access to five major global stock markets makes this development particularly interesting.
For me, TSMC would be the first company on my research list because of its strategic importance in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. MediaTek would be another strong candidate to monitor because of its exposure to mobile technology, connectivity, and the developing AI ecosystem.
What I appreciate most is Gate's broader vision: providing users with more financial instruments, greater flexibility, and an increasingly connected trading environment.
The future of finance will not necessarily be divided between cryptocurrency and traditional stocks. These markets are becoming increasingly interconnected, and platforms that understand this transformation have an opportunity to build stronger financial ecosystems.
Gate is taking meaningful steps in that direction.
One platform, multiple markets, and a growing world of investment opportunities.
My question to the community:
If you had to choose only one Taiwan stock to buy using USDT, which would be your first choice?
Would you choose TSMC (2330) because of its semiconductor leadership, MediaTek (2454) because of its technology and AI potential, or Hon Hai (2317) because of its electronics manufacturing and AI server exposure?
I would like to hear everyone's research, market perspective, and long-term investment strategy.
