Zcash is showing just how quickly momentum can change in the crypto market. After an impressive rally toward $1,350, ZEC has faced renewed selling pressure, bringing the price back toward the $1,200 region. The recovery had attracted bullish attention, but the latest pullback shows that buyers still have something to prove.

At the latest available market snapshot, ZEC was trading around $1,212, with a reported 24-hour range of approximately $1,122 to $1,226. Its seven-day performance remained negative by roughly 6.3%, despite the strong recovery seen earlier.

What makes this correction interesting is the timing. Zcash had recently attracted significant attention because of its strong performance as a privacy-focused cryptocurrency. However, after moving sharply higher, traders began taking profits and the market struggled to maintain its upward momentum.

The previous rally also brought ZEC close to an important resistance area around $1,350. Buyers were able to push the price toward that region, but a convincing breakout did not follow. This suggests that sellers are still active at higher levels.

Another development worth watching is the upcoming NU7 network upgrade. The planned changes are designed to reduce target block intervals from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. Faster block production could improve transaction responsiveness and strengthen the network's technical development.

However, an important distinction remains: a network upgrade can improve the underlying technology, but it does not automatically guarantee an increase in token price. Traders may already have priced in some of the expected benefits, which also creates the possibility of profit-taking around the event.

From a technical perspective, the $1,100–$1,160 region is an important support area. If buyers defend this zone and establish a higher low, ZEC could attempt another recovery toward $1,250 and $1,300.

The $1,320–$1,350 region remains a major resistance area. A sustained move above it, supported by stronger buying volume, would improve the bullish structure and potentially open the way for another upward extension.

On the other hand, losing $1,100 would weaken the current recovery and increase the possibility of further downside. In that situation, I would avoid assuming that every dip is a buying opportunity.

My approach is to watch how ZEC behaves around these levels rather than react to every sudden candle.

For a bullish continuation, I want to see buyers defend support, spot demand improve and price reclaim resistance with convincing volume. If the market continues making lower highs while selling pressure increases, patience is the better decision.

Zcash still has an interesting development story, particularly because privacy and transaction efficiency remain important areas in the cryptocurrency industry. But short-term price action and long-term network potential should be evaluated separately.

My current outlook is cautious. The previous rally showed that buyers are still interested in ZEC, but the latest correction shows that sellers have not disappeared.

The next meaningful signal will come from the $1,100–$1,160 support region and the market's ability to reclaim $1,300.

I would rather wait for confirmation than chase another rally without a clear trading setup.

Regulatory risks for privacy coins haven’t gone away. No matter how strong the technicals look, sudden bad news could hit, so I’m keeping my position size modest

It plunged from 1,350 to 1,212; profit-taking is way too obvious, with funds all fleeing ahead of the upgrade—classic sell the news

75 seconds down to 25 seconds, transaction confirmations are nearly three times faster. Zcash's pace of tech iteration is impressive, though its price may not necessarily keep up

The 1100-1160 support zone is crucial. If it breaks, it’s over; if it holds, it could make another run at 1300

The privacy sector looks promising long term, but this short-term price action is a classic bull trap. How are you doing, everyone who chased the highs?

The selling pressure at the 1350 resistance level is too heavy. Without a high-volume breakout, it’s just a fakeout. A 6.3% pullback now is normal

My strategy: exit immediately if it drops below 1,100; only consider buying back once it holds above 1,160. For now, I’m staying on the sidelines

The NU7 upgrade cuts block time to 25 seconds, which is technically bullish, but the price has already priced it in. Don’t expect a huge surge on upgrade day

ZEC’s volatility is wild—after failing to hold $1,350, it plunged back to $1,200. The privacy coin narrative is still compelling, but in the short term, watch whether $1,100 holds
