$UAI Down 43% in a day. I just dumped my last batch at 0.0916, and this trade made my scalp tingle.
Let me review this trade. I entered around 0.15 two days ago. The logic was simple: 24h trading volume was nearly $60 million, and the order book depth looked decent, so I figured that kind of volume could keep it above 0.14. But today, a massive red candle sent it straight down to 0.0876. It ranged from a 24h high of 0.1733 to a low of 0.0876, nearly a 50% swing. My mindset went from “wait for a rebound” to “if I don’t get out now, it’ll go to zero.” I sold at 0.0916, almost right at the low, taking a loss of nearly 40%.
Two lessons: First, with high-turnover, high-volatility coins, stop-loss orders need to be set in advance. Don’t rely on watching the market and selling manually. I hesitated for just over ten minutes today and lost another 5 points. Second, high trading volume doesn’t mean strong buying support. All 59.7M of that volume during the plunge came from sell orders. Volume was a smokescreen for distribution, not a sign of support.
My advice right now is clear: I don’t recommend buying the dip at the current price of 0.0916. A 43% drop in 24h means selling pressure hasn’t fully played out. Today’s low is 0.0876; if that breaks, watch for 0.08. If you want to bet on a rebound, wait until it holds above 0.095 and trading volume falls below 30M before considering it. Keep your position below 5% of your total capital, set a stop-loss at 0.087, and take half off at 0.105. I’m out of this trade and staying on the sidelines; I’ll wait for the structure to stabilize.
Has the news been priced in? There’s no corresponding public negative news behind this drop; it’s purely a cascade of panic selling. The 43% decline has likely flushed out most short-term panic sellers, but don’t rush to catch a falling knife before a bottoming structure is confirmed. Follow me—I’ll flag this kind of price-volume divergence in the group ahead of time next time. #Gate广场中秋团圆局
