From office tasks to trading, the all-in-one skill hub makes AI even more useful.
AI investing is getting increasingly crowded, with new concepts, chips, and targets emerging every day. Today it's GPUs, tomorrow edge AI, and the day after that it may be robotics and smart cars. The easiest mistake for investors to make is to see the letters AI and automatically hit the buy button.
Qualcomm and Arm's earnings this time offer an opportunity to observe the industry's real progress. Qualcomm needs to prove that edge AI, automotive, and data centers can become new revenue engines; Arm needs to prove that architecture licensing, royalties, and its data center business can continue to expand.
I am more inclined to be bullish on Qualcomm's growth potential in edge AI, while also recognizing Arm's ecosystem moat. The former has the opportunity to see growth across multiple businesses, while the latter has a long-term industrial foundation.
However, the final assessment must come down to revenue growth, gross margin, operating cash flow, and future guidance. AI is a marathon, not a 100-meter sprint. Promising sectors are worth looking forward to, good companies are worth researching, but rational valuation and risk management must never be absent. Let technology create wealth and rationality protect it—this is the positive energy of long-term investing!
