The U.S. midterm elections are not only a major political event, but could also offer an important window into sector rotation in the U.S. stock market.
Which sectors are worth watching?
First, AI and semiconductors. Artificial intelligence has become an important area of competition in U.S. tech, and the chip, computing power, and data center supply chains are still worth studying over the long term.
Second, financials. Changes in fiscal policy, interest rate conditions, and regulatory direction could all affect the business outlook for banks and financial companies.
Third, energy and defense. Energy security, international developments, and defense budgets could affect orders and capital expenditures in related industries.
However, hot sectors aren't guaranteed to rise. Sometimes the market can be mischievous: just when everyone thinks a stock is about to take off, it dives first.
So while watching industry trends, pay attention to valuations, profitability, and capital flows as well.
My view: opportunities belong to those who are prepared, not those chasing the latest hot trends.
Don't just focus on catching the next big winner; develop an investment mindset that can weather market cycles. $NVDA
