From office tasks to trading, the all-in-one skill hub makes AI even more useful.
Tech companies are all racing to embrace AI. Some are buying chips like crazy, some are building data centers, and others can hardly wait to slap the letters “AI” on every product. Apple, by contrast, seems relatively restrained.
Is that smart, or is it falling behind?
I believe the key is not just the scale of AI investment, but whether it can translate into business value.
Apple has a huge iPhone user base. If Apple Intelligence and the new Siri can genuinely improve everyday experiences—for example, by boosting productivity, optimizing search, and helping users complete complex tasks—AI could become an important driver of the next upgrade cycle.
What’s more, Apple can integrate AI capabilities into its existing products through coordination between its operating systems, chips, and ecosystem, rather than relying solely on selling AI services to make money.
But if AI features keep failing to deliver, users won’t upgrade their phones just because of a robot demo at a product launch.
So I’m bullish on Apple’s long-term AI potential, but I’m paying closer attention to product execution, user engagement, and the ability to monetize in practice.
AI isn’t a trophy for winning the spending race. The real business winner is the one that makes users feel the product is useful and gives them a reason to stick around!$AAPL
