#美国中期选举进入最后冲刺 My take on the midterm elections: U.S. equities will react most directly, followed by gold, while BTC will be the most volatile. But this time looks more like “short-term repricing” than a one-way market.

Markets have already priced in a Democratic takeover of the House. The Senate race remains tight, so the real potential surprises are which party controls the Senate, the size of its seat advantage, and whether vote counting is delayed.

How to trade the three outcomes
· Divided Congress (base case): Fiscal expansion is constrained, easing pressure on U.S. Treasury yields. U.S. equities should remain relatively steady, with tech stocks recovering first; gold is supported by real rates; BTC will follow risk appetite in U.S. equities and may rebound, but not necessarily reach a new high.
· Democratic sweep: Fiscal restraint benefits Treasuries and gold, but concerns about AI regulation and data center costs will weigh on tech stocks. U.S. equities will see a clear divergence; gold is typically more stable, while BTC is likely to fall in tandem.
· Republicans retain both chambers: Tax cuts, energy policies, and some regulatory policies continue, benefiting financials, energy, and parts of the AI infrastructure sector. But rising deficit and inflation expectations could push up Treasury yields, weighing on high-valuation tech stocks.

My allocation approach: control position sizes first, then wait for the outcome
· U.S. equities: Maintain a neutral position and don’t bet on a single party. Reduce leverage before the election and focus on whether the S&P 500 can hold key support; if there’s a sharp drop, consider buying profitable tech leaders and defensive sectors in stages.
· Gold: Keep it as an anchor for the portfolio and maintain a buy-on-dips allocation. The key drivers are real rates, the dollar, and safe-haven sentiment—not simply the election outcome.
· BTC: Hold a small position or stay on the sidelines. Bitcoin is currently around $78k, with support at $76k–$77k and resistance at $80k–$84k. The combination of concentrated options expiries and the election could amplify short-term volatility.

Three-step trading plan
1. Before the election: Reduce leverage, keep cash on hand, and reduce directional bets.
2. After the outcome becomes clear: First watch Treasury yields and the VIX. If both fall, consider adding; if they continue to trade sideways at high levels, keep waiting.
3. After the trend is confirmed: For U.S. equities, prioritize profitable tech leaders; for gold, buy in stages on pullbacks; for BTC, wait for a high-volume hold above $80k or a clear break below $76k before deciding on direction.

Guard against volatility on election night; watch risk appetite after the outcome is settled; in the mid-to-later stages, focus again on inflation, the Fed, and earnings. $BTC
