What’s the most exhausting part of trading? It’s not analyzing the market—it’s when the market has closed, but your mind is still playing a never-ending candlestick-chart drama!
If I don’t want to watch the market over the weekend, I get the work done in advance. First, I check whether the assets I hold still fit my original trading rationale; next, I identify key support and resistance levels; finally, I set take-profit and stop-loss levels and position sizes based on my risk tolerance.
For assets with relatively stable trends and unchanged fundamentals, you can consider keeping a suitable position. For assets that have clearly moved against expectations, risen too much in the short term, or shown unusual fund flows, you should consider reducing your position.
There’s no need to be greedy with take-profit targets; once a preset target is reached, you can cash out in stages. Don’t delay cutting losses either: if the trading rationale is invalidated, don’t use long-term conviction as an excuse for short-term losses.
Of course, you should also keep an eye on breaking news over the weekend. Policy changes, industry risks, and volatility in overseas markets could all affect next week’s trend.
My principle is simple: stick to the plan with planned positions, and be cautious with anything outside the plan; protect your profits, and know when to wait for opportunities.
Truly mature traders aren’t the ones who stare at the screen every day, but the ones who know what to do next even when they step away from it for a while. After all, money is for living, not for being held hostage by candlestick charts! #WCTCS9 $INTC
