Tech Stocks’ Bloodbath! Semiconductor Earnings Explode, Yet Stocks Get Hammered; the December Rate Hike Sword Is Really Hanging Over Us!

Guys, global markets were a “meat grinder” this week. To sum it up in a few words: tech stocks were slaughtered!

On the macro front, although the Fed left interest rates unchanged, the probability of a December rate hike soared to 75%, directly spooking tech stocks. The Nasdaq fell for three consecutive weeks, Meta plunged 28% in a single day after earnings missed expectations, while Apple became a safe haven and reclaimed the top spot.

What’s the craziest part? Semiconductor earnings were through the roof, yet their stocks were massively hammered! SK Hynix’s profit surged 632%, and SanDisk’s jumped 378%, but both stocks still fell. This shows the market has changed its tune—it used to listen to your grand visions of AI, but now it only cares about your ability to actually monetize.

The giants are burning cash like crazy, and investors are starting to get scared.

Also, gold and silver plunged, but the US and Iran remain deadlocked in the Middle East, while crude oil held firm, rising for five straight weeks.

Guys, the core logic right now can be summed up in one sentence: the good news is already priced in, and investors are extremely risk-averse. Even strong earnings can’t prop stocks up, which shows institutions are using earnings reports to unload. With a December rate hike hanging over our heads, definitely don’t try to buy the dip in tech stocks or altcoins at this juncture.

SK Hynix’s profit surged sixfold, yet its stock is still in the red. The market now only cares about cash flow, not AI stories—the faith has collapsed

Good earnings and still falling—institutions are clearly using earnings reports to unload, and tech stocks will remain in a pressure cooker until the December rate-hike sword falls
