If making money came with worries, Samsung probably has the most to say about it this time.
Its third-quarter net profit was about 75.13 trillion won, up 514.6% year over year; operating profit reached 107.44 trillion won, setting a new quarterly record. For an ordinary company, results like these would be more than enough to pop the champagne. But the market simply doesn’t play by the rules: Sure, you made a lot of money, but not as much as I expected!
It’s like a boss giving an employee a big bonus, only for the employee to open it and say, “Thanks, boss” is not the first thing out of their mouth—instead, it’s “Why is it a little less than what the person next door got?” It stings a bit, but it also reflects the reality of capital markets: stock prices trade not only on past performance, but also on future expectations.
Of course, Samsung can’t just sit back and celebrate. Strong demand for AI chips is an opportunity, but technological competition, investment costs, and industry cycles are also challenges. Whether it can continue to strengthen its edge in high-end memory products will be a key factor in its performance going forward.
So don’t judge a company’s success or failure based on just one quarter’s earnings report. Markets have their moods, and companies have their own homework. Samsung shouldn’t complain that its audience is too demanding; it should keep strengthening its fundamentals. #三星Q3净利润75.1万亿韩元不及预期
After all, applause may come late, but ability must not be absent. Making money takes skill; continuing to make money takes real substance!$Kioxia Holdings
