The Fed held interest rates steady, and the crypto market finally got its answer. But here’s the question: Why should BTC necessarily rise just because rates didn’t change?
The market isn’t a vending machine that starts with the press of a button. Expectations may already be priced in, and what often really affects the market is the gap between the outcome and expectations.
If investors believe rates will remain high, dollar liquidity and risk appetite may continue to weigh on the market; conversely, if economic data leads the market to bet on easing again, sentiment around BTC could improve.
Still, don’t forget that the crypto market has its own rhythm. Leveraged positions, funding rates, spot buying, and breaking news can all cause short-term price action to diverge from macroeconomic logic.
So I’m watching two signals: whether the price can break out of its range decisively, and whether real trading volume backs the breakout. Calling it a bull market after seeing just one big green candle is like declaring the end of the world at the first sign of clouds—the only difference may be the direction.
The Fed has delivered its policy decision, but BTC still has to make its own move.
Do you think BTC will break upward next, or keep testing our patience?
