Bitcoin is becoming less volatile than people think.

According to Grayscale, $BTC 's annualized realized volatility fell to 43%, below its 10-year average of 64% and the 81% recorded five years ago.
It was also less volatile than Oracle, Coinbase, Honeywell, and SanDisk, ranking below roughly 19% of S&P 500 stocks in volatility.
Bitcoin still carries risk, but the data challenges the idea that every major stock is automatically more stable than BTC.

After the FOMC decision, markets showed a clear “strong stocks, weak gold, choppy crypto” pattern. Tech stocks (semiconductors), buoyed by the AI narrative and investors’ tolerance for high interest rates, shrugged off macro volatility and continued their independent rally. Gold and weaker altcoins, meanwhile, faced significant selling pressure.
