Everything I was watching broke out before the Fed even spoke.
Yesterday in @tryquantio I wrote down one trigger per asset for after the decision. All three fired overnight:
→ Gold: trigger $4,000. Now ~$4,050
→ BNB: trigger $740. Now ~$750
→ Tesla: had to hold $386. Ran to ~$409, back near $400 now
So this morning I asked Quant one question: is this move crowded?
What came back:
→ Funding on BTC and BNB sits right at baseline. Not overheated
→ Quant's top-trader cohort: 9 of 11 ranked accounts short $BTC , 10 of 11 short ETH
→ The rally came from momentum buyers, not the big books
Quant's read: a two-sided setup. A hawkish hold = a flush in the direction those shorts want. A dovish hold = a squeeze on those same shorts.
And since price already moved, even a neutral "hold" that leaves a December hike on the table could turn into sell the news.
Tonight's lines [ alive / fakeout ]:
→ BTC: 1h close above $82K / below $79,750
→ BNB: above $755 / below $735.90
→ Tesla: above $415 / below $400
→ Gold: above $4,075 / below $3,995
Statement 18:00 UTC [ 19:00 WAT ]
My takeaway?
When price runs one way and the best traders sit the other way, I don't pick a side. I let the 18:00 candle pick it for me.
Squeeze or flush tonight?
