What is the most interesting phenomenon in the investment market? It isn't stocks going up or down, but the same investors thinking gold was too expensive yesterday, then seeing it return to $4,000 today and starting to worry they've missed their chance.
This rebound in gold has indeed given the market a shot in the arm. Gold prices had previously fallen below $4,000, hitting a low near $3,975; then oil prices retreated, easing some inflation concerns, while bargain hunters also began stepping in, pushing gold back above the threshold.
But interestingly, gold rising doesn't mean all risks have disappeared.
The Fed's interest rate policy remains key. If rates stay high or even rise further, the opportunity cost of holding gold will increase. After all, gold doesn't pay interest or send you a paycheck every month; its greatest strength is helping investors diversify risk under certain conditions.
So when buying gold, don't just look at price movements; also consider the purchase price, your financial plans, and your risk tolerance.
And don't forget a classic rule of investing: when prices rise, everyone is a value investor; when they fall, everyone just wants to break even as soon as possible.
Gold's return above $4,000 is worth watching, but not worth chasing impulsively.
Truly savvy investors don't jump in every time there's a rebound; they know why they're buying, how long they plan to hold, and what they'll do if prices fall.
Are you someone who only gets interested when it rises, or only dares to look when it falls?$XAUUSD
