$ANT is coming to Nasdaq. The S-1 is out, and the numbers are anything but subtle.

Anthropic has officially filed its S-1 with the SEC, planning to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker $ANT . The filing gives the public its first real look at the financial engine behind Claude: and it reveals a company growing at a pace that is hard to compare to anything else in enterprise software.

The growth is extraordinary. Revenue hit $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, up from just $1.16 billion a year earlier . Net revenue retention is around 900% , meaning existing customers are spending roughly nine times what they did a year ago . More than 11,900 customers now pay at least $100,000 annually, and over 1,900 pay at least $1 million .

The headline loss is enormous, but the operating picture is different. The GAAP net loss for H1 2026 was $80.7 billion, yet approximately $72.4 billion of that came from non-cash fair-value changes on convertible notes as Anthropic’s private valuation climbed . The actual operating loss was $693 million - still a loss, but a fraction of the headline number . On an adjusted basis, Anthropic posted $1.6 billion in operating income for the half, a margin above 9% . Operating cash flow turned positive at $3.93 billion .

What the market will likely focus on after the IPO depends on which part of the S-1 you weight most.

· Growth potential is the easiest story to tell. The revenue trajectory from $41 million in 2023 to $4.59 billion in 2025 to a $16.3 billion half-year in 2026 is not a normal growth curve . But the S-1 itself warns that this pace “may not last,” and two unnamed customers accounted for roughly 23% of H1 revenue, a concentration risk public investors will scrutinize .
· Profitability is the more contested question. The adjusted operating profit is a genuine signal, but the company has committed to $518 billion in future infrastructure spending and has already locked in long-term cloud agreements with Amazon and Google . Those costs are fixed; the revenue that is supposed to cover them is not .
· Commercialization prospects may ultimately be the real test. Claude Code is driving enterprise adoption, and the customer cohort spending $1 million+ annually has scaled quickly . But the S-1 also shows that AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft marketplaces accounted for roughly 48% of H1 revenue, meaning Anthropic’s commercialization runs partly through channels owned by competitors and strategic partners .

My view: the market will say it is watching profitability, but what it will actually price is the durability of commercialization. A 900% net revenue retention rate is meaningless if enterprise AI spending decelerates, and an adjusted operating margin is fragile if compute commitments outrun demand. The $ANT IPO is less a referendum on Anthropic alone and more a public stress test of whether frontier AI revenue can scale fast enough to justify the infrastructure debt being signed today.

💬 Which factor matters most to you after the $ANT listing - growth, profitability, or commercialization?
