#Anthropic申请赴美IPO #每周来晒 Let me state my view upfront: in the short term, the market will focus most on monetization; in the medium term, on growth; and in the long term, on earnings quality.

Anthropic has already proven that enterprises are willing to pay for AI. Revenue in the first half of 2026 was $16.29B, up about 1,300% year over year; it also generated $974 million in operating profit in the second quarter.

Monetization: the first hurdle. Currently, about 80% of revenue is usage-based. The more customers and the more complex their tasks, the higher the bills. As of the end of September 2026, there were more than 11,900 customers with annual spend exceeding $100k, and net revenue retention was about 900%. This shows that Claude has moved from a chat tool into enterprise workflows. Coding agents, data analysis, and knowledge-work automation are all key scenarios for future growth.

Growth: determines how high the valuation can go
The market will focus on three things:
· Can enterprise customers continue to expand their usage?
· Can agents open up more paid use cases?
· Can new models continue to drive revenue?
In the third quarter of 2026, more than 80% of revenue came from model versions released in the past six months. This means Anthropic’s growth is highly dependent on product iteration; older models alone will struggle to sustain its pace.

Profitability: the toughest hurdle
Turning operating profit positive in the second quarter was critical, but the company has still signed long-term commitments to purchase computing capacity worth hundreds of billions of dollars. If revenue slows, these fixed expenses will squeeze profits. So what the market really cares about is whether revenue growth can continue to outpace computing costs. Looking only at the fact that it is “already profitable” makes it easy to overlook the large fixed bills ahead.

My view: In the early days after listing, the market will value the company based on monetization validation and its growth story; once the share price stabilizes, earnings sustainability will become central. If it can only show growth and stable profits remain elusive, its valuation could easily shift from a “growth stock thesis” to a “high-cost asset thesis.”
In a nutshell: Monetization determines whether it can go public, growth determines what it is worth, and earnings quality determines how far it can go.
