#Anthropic申请赴美IPO #Gate广场万圣节
If Anthropic goes public, the market will focus most on whether it can sustain commercialization and turn growth into profit.
Of the three, commercialization ranks first, growth second, and losses third.
Commercialization is the core: Anthropic has already proven that AI can generate revenue. Revenue in the first half of 2026 was $16.286 billion, up about 13 times year over year; enterprise customers increased from more than 950 a year ago to 11,900. The key question is whether customers can continue to expand their usage over the long term, and whether revenue can keep growing as model prices fall.
Growth determines valuation: the market is willing to assign a high valuation on the condition that revenue continues to expand rapidly. But third-quarter revenue was about $16.8 billion, up about 45% quarter over quarter, and growth has already slowed markedly. What to watch next is whether new customers, additional spending by existing customers, and net revenue retention can remain high.
Losses come later: the net loss in the first half was $80.748 billion, of which about $72.4 billion came from fair-value changes in financial instruments such as convertible notes, a non-cash accounting item. The operating loss, which better reflects the business, was only $693 million, and operating profit turned positive in the second quarter.
So the key question after the IPO can be summed up in one sentence: Can AI move from “many customers trying it out” to “enterprises paying a lot, over the long term and on an ongoing basis”? If so, the high valuation is justified; if growth slows, massive computing-capacity contracts will quickly eat into profits.
