While momentum chasers buy into local relief bounces, this chart on $NEAR is rejecting Williams Alligator moving averages following a breakdown from local highs to set up a short position.

After failing to sustain upside momentum near the $5.437 resistance level, price has retraced downward through the Alligator indicator lines, currently trading around $4.976. The projected path outlines a continuation downward from the current rejection zone through intermediate levels toward the lower take-profit target near $4.711.
Holding below the stop-loss resistance level around $5.088 keeps the short setup active, targeting $4.711. A strong push and close above $5.088 invalidates the bearish bias and shifts focus back toward higher range resistance.
Don't short into local support floors—wait for confirmed rejections at key moving average bands before positioning for the downside continuation.

The analysis is clear, but don't forget the broader market environment: if BTC suddenly pumps, all technical levels become invalid

Williams Alligator generates many false signals in choppy markets; it’s more reliable when used alongside volume

Alligator opening its mouth downward is indeed scary, but the $5.088 stop-loss is a bit tight, with a significant risk of getting swept out by a false breakout
