The Fed Hasn’t Played Its Hand Yet, but BTC Is Already Getting Jittery! These 3 Signals Matter More Than Price Calls This Week
If BTC were an athlete preparing to sprint, the macroeconomy would be the referee standing beside the track: the whistle hasn’t blown, but the competitor is already getting nervous.
BTC is fluctuating around $80k, and WCTC S9 is about to kick off again. The market is never short of predictions. Some say $100,000 is just around the corner; others predict another leg down in the bear market. Both sides are full of confidence, as if tomorrow’s candlestick chart were already in their phone’s photo album.
But this week, I’d rather keep a close eye on three signals.
First, the Fed’s interest rate decision and policy language. Don’t focus only on the words “rate cuts.” If policy is more hawkish than the market expects, the dollar and yields could strengthen, putting pressure on risk assets; if liquidity expectations improve, BTC may get a more favorable environment.
Second, U.S. Treasury yields and the dollar’s performance. If yields continue to rise and the dollar strengthens at the same time, investors may have less appetite for high-risk assets. Conversely, easing financial conditions would make it more favorable for capital to seek opportunities.
Third, spot ETF flows and BTC trading volume. If the price rises without spot buying, the market is like thunder with no rain; if inflows continue and a breakout holds, the move will be more credible.
So I won’t jump in because of a rate-cut rumor, and I won’t immediately exit all my positions because of one big bearish candle.
What the market likes to punish most isn’t someone who gets it wrong once, but someone who changes the rules on the fly every time. #WCTCS9
You can put your trading skills to the test with WCTC S9, but your investment account shouldn’t be a thrill ride. Set your risk budget first, then consider your return target.
Which signal are you watching most closely this week: the Fed, dollar and Treasury yields, or ETF flows? Feel free to leave a comment. $MU #
