Trading Plan Short NVDA
Entry: 212.00 - 215.00
SL: 220.00
TP1: 209.00
TP2: 200.00
TP3: 190.00
NVDA is down 4.31% today at $212.29, and the chart is clearly bearish. Price is trading below all three key moving averages: MA5 at $217.04, MA10 at $216.69, and MA30 at $225.71. This is a textbook bearish stack, with the shorter-term averages pointing down and the longer-term MA30 way overhead. The MACD is also confirming the downside, with a histogram of -0.47 and DIF at -3.45 below DEA at -2.97.
The fundamental catalyst here is important. News broke that Calpers, one of the largest pension funds in the US, cut its holdings in Big Tech by 26% in the first half of 2026. This isn't retail panic selling—this is institutional rebalancing away from the "Magnificent Seven." Nvidia, as a core holding for many of these funds, is directly in the crosshairs.
The stock has already fallen from the $243.37 high and is now sitting just above the $211.27 support level. The after-hours session shows a tiny bounce to $212.40, but that doesn't change the bigger picture. If NVDA breaks below $209, the next major support is around $200, followed by $190.
A break back above $220 would invalidate this setup.
