Meta’s earnings blowout! Can SLA and $SPCX keep surging? Beware a sudden reversal after the bullish frenzy

The U.S. stock market is never short on surprises, but the biggest headache is wondering whether another surprise will follow!
Meta’s latest earnings report delivered impressive results: third-quarter revenue reached $64.6 billion, up 26% year over year and beating market expectations; fourth-quarter revenue guidance came in at $73 billion to $76 billion. Its advertising business remains strong, and AI is starting to boost its core business. The news quickly lifted market sentiment.
Now comes the question investors care about most: Can SLA and $SPCX keep rising, or should we prepare for a pullback?
First, the positives. Growth in Meta’s ad revenue shows that businesses are still willing to pay for traffic. AI is no longer just a money-burning concept story; it’s gradually becoming a tool for improving ad efficiency. As long as money keeps flowing into the AI value chain, related hot assets could get a sentiment boost.
But don’t pop the champagne just yet! A strong earnings report doesn’t mean every related stock will keep rising. Meta also booked about $9.9 billion in legal expenses this quarter, expects full-year capital expenditures of $135 billion to $145 billion, and saw free cash flow turn negative. AI may be appealing, but it comes with a hefty bill.
Watch for three signals next: first, whether the rally can continue on rising volume; second, whether buyers step in during pullbacks; and third, whether sentiment across the AI sector cools.
If volume supports the move and key support holds, the uptrend may continue; if stocks open higher but close lower and break support on heavy volume, be wary of profit-taking.
In short: Earnings are a booster, not a perpetual-motion machine. Don’t mistake market enthusiasm for a guarantee of profits.
