What’s next for SLA and $SPCX? Watch these 3 signals after Meta’s earnings!

The most exciting part of earnings season isn’t the moment the numbers are released, but how the market moves afterward.
Meta’s third-quarter results beat expectations, with revenue reaching $64.6 billion, up 26% year over year, and fourth-quarter revenue guidance of $73 billion to $76 billion. The combination of AI and advertising continues to attract attention, prompting investors to reconsider how much upside remains in this rally.
For SLA and $SPCX, it may be worth focusing on three signals next.
Signal one: Is the rally backed by volume?
If trading volume rises alongside the share price, it may indicate more active participation. If prices keep setting new highs while volume gradually fades, watch for signs that upward momentum is weakening. Price-volume relationships can’t determine direction on their own, but they can help assess whether a trend is healthy.
Signal two: Are buyers stepping in during pullbacks?
A truly strong trend doesn’t rise every day without a dip; it finds solid support after a retreat. If the share price stabilizes quickly after a pullback and doesn’t continue breaking below key support levels, the trend may still be intact. Conversely, if each rebound gets weaker, be alert to investors gradually pulling out.
Signal three: Can fundamentals live up to expectations?
Meta’s results were certainly impressive, but capital expenditures are expected to reach $135 billion to $145 billion, and free cash flow has already turned negative. This means the long-term opportunity in AI comes alongside short-term cost pressures. For related stocks, their respective revenue, profitability, and valuations still need to be verified; don’t judge them based on hype alone.
So, will the market rise or fall from here?
If risk appetite continues to improve, trading volume confirms the move, and the relevant companies keep delivering on expectations, the rally could continue. If good news has already been priced in, combined with high valuations and pressure from profit-taking, a pullback after a surge is entirely possible.
Rather than guessing whether prices will rise or fall tomorrow, set your own criteria for what to watch and define your risk tolerance in advance. Getting excited for a minute while chasing a rally, then reflecting for three months after getting stuck, isn’t an ideal investment experience.
