🌍 Global Debt Is Reaching Alarming Levels — And the Real Risk Is What Comes Next.

The world’s biggest economies are carrying enormous debt burdens, leaving governments increasingly exposed to higher borrowing costs.

📊 Gross government debt as a share of GDP:

▪️ Japan: 204.4%
▪️ Italy: 138.4%
▪️ United States: 125.8%
▪️ France: 118.4%
▪️ Canada: 110.7%
▪️ China: 106.9%
▪️ United Kingdom: 103.6%
▪️ Germany: 64.6%

Advanced economies average 108.2% of GDP, while U.S. debt is approaching its pandemic-era peak.

But here’s what matters most:

High debt doesn't automatically trigger a crisis. The cost of financing it can change everything.

When interest rates stay elevated, governments spend more on debt servicing, leaving less room for infrastructure, public services, economic growth, and the next unexpected shock.

The bigger concern isn't just how much countries owe. It's how much flexibility they have left when the next crisis arrives.

Debt is manageable until the cost of carrying it becomes a problem.

This data gives me chills. Japan is already above 200%, and the fact that it can still hold on is a miracle. But if interest rates stay high for an extended period, the sovereign debt crisis scenario may really play out. In this environment, $BTC is increasingly looking like a safe-haven option
