Strive's Bitcoin hoard surpasses 36,818 BTC! Don't rush to call it a bull market—the real risk may lie elsewhere

A publicly listed company continuing to buy Bitcoin sounds a lot like a shot in the arm for the market. But don't rush to celebrate: when it comes to investing, the biggest mistake is treating someone else's courage as your own confidence.
As of its latest disclosure, Strive held 36,818 BTC, having added a total of 4,045 BTC last week, further expanding its holdings. The numbers are certainly impressive, but what do they really mean? The answer isn't simply “bullish.”
First, increased holdings show that the company is expanding its Bitcoin allocation, but they don't prove that Bitcoin is about to rise. Companies have their own timelines for making decisions, while the market often doesn't follow the script.
Second, the value of the holdings will fluctuate with the price of the coin. When prices rise, the assets look good on paper; when they fall, unrealized losses can be just as nerve-racking.
Third, you also need to consider the financing method, the amount of Bitcoin represented by each share, and the company's future cash flow plans. An increase in total holdings doesn't necessarily mean every shareholder gets a proportionate return.
Put simply, the fact that the boss is willing to fill the warehouse with Bitcoin doesn't mean everyone should follow suit. Institutions have their own sources of funding and risk tolerance; ordinary investors need to stay within their means.
There may be good reasons to be bullish, but blind following offers no protection.
Do you think corporate Bitcoin hoarding will become a long-term trend, or is it a capital game played during market frenzies?$MU
