Key macro focus this week:
First, earnings reports from U.S. tech giants.
Companies including Meta, Tesla, and IBM will report earnings this week, while the semiconductor and memory sectors are also entering their earnings season.
The Nasdaq saw a notable pullback last week, and the market is reassessing the relationship between inflationary pressures and economic growth.
Second, U.S. PMI and consumer confidence data.
The preliminary U.S. manufacturing and services PMIs released Friday, as well as the University of Michigan consumer confidence data, are worth close attention.
If economic data remains strong but inflationary pressures remain elevated, the market may continue to worry that the Federal Reserve will maintain its tight policy.
If the economy weakens significantly, it will be necessary to assess whether this is easing interest rate pressures or increasing concerns about an economic slowdown.
So the data itself is not the whole story; the key is whether it changes the market’s view of the future interest rate path.
Third, oil prices and geopolitical tensions.
Oil prices have been elevated recently. This week, attention should also be paid to U.S. crude oil inventory data and whether the situation in the Middle East further affects energy supplies.
If oil prices continue to rise, inflation expectations may heat up again, potentially changing the market’s assessment of the Federal Reserve’s future policy.
If the dollar and U.S. Treasury yields strengthen in tandem, macroeconomic pressure on BTC may increase further.
Fourth, the Federal Reserve enters its blackout period.
The Federal Reserve will enter its blackout period ahead of its October 28 meeting.
This means that this week, greater attention should be paid to economic data and shifts in market pricing, rather than expecting officials’ remarks to continually provide new policy signals.#每周来晒 #GateWCTCS9全球交易赛
