🚨 Crude oil 8.5% up this week — $100 ready to load

WTI ( $CL ) just hit ~$98.84, 24h high $99.06
What’s driving it :
• Fresh tanker attacks — biggest spike since the Iran war started.
• Hormuz risk: US Central Command confirmed an Iranian projectile struck a container ship that later sank in the Strait.
• Houthis seized Yemen’s Mocha port + attacks on Saudi targets, adding Red Sea pressure on top of Gulf flows.
• EIA: US crude inventories dropped 8.6 million barrels (steepest since February) — strong refinery runs + exports.
• IEA members agreed to finish releasing the remaining 100 million barrels from the March emergency stockpile, but supply fear is still winning.
• Ongoing US–Iran conflict (month 8) + elevated freight costs keep a war premium in the price.
Chart is impulsive off the lows with higher lows intact. A daily close above $100 opens extension; rejection can pull back toward $95–96.
One more confirmed Hormuz or Red Sea incident and $100 breaks fast.
