U.S. inflation heats up again. Could the Bitcoin bull market be affected?
September's U.S. PPI came in significantly above expectations, potentially bringing a new challenge for Bitcoin and the broader crypto market. Data showed that PPI rose 1.3% month over month and 6.3% year over year, far above general market expectations. Renewed inflationary pressure means the Federal Reserve may find it difficult to pivot easily toward monetary easing in the near term.
Why does this affect Bitcoin? Because crypto markets are relatively sensitive to liquidity and risk appetite. If expectations for rate cuts cool, improvements in dollar liquidity may be delayed, and some investors may also reduce their allocations to highly volatile assets. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other crypto assets could all face short-term pressure.
But this does not mean Bitcoin will inevitably fall. If the market has already priced in the inflationary headwind, or if investors focus more on Bitcoin's long-term adoption trend, its price could show considerable resilience. Fundamentals and capital structures differ across crypto assets, so their price movements may not be synchronized.
Three signals to watch closely next: the Federal Reserve's latest assessment of the interest rate path, changes in the U.S. dollar and Treasury yields, and fund flows in the Bitcoin spot market.
For investors, the main risk to watch right now is a sudden shift in macro expectations. Don't blindly chase rallies or sell off based on a single data release, and don't overlook leverage risk. Short-term volatility is difficult to predict, but managing position sizes prudently and keeping liquidity in reserve are always important ways to navigate uncertain markets.$SNDK #美国9月PPI大超预期
