Warsh’s remarks have ended, and overall they were probably neutral. He didn’t announce whether the Fed would continue raising rates in October, but the good news is that given how hawkish his past remarks have been, the fact that he didn’t sound hawkish is good news. On inflation and employment, Warsh was also evasive, saying only that we need to wait for some meetings in October and December. But he gave a positive assessment of artificial intelligence, including saying that AI may make the economy more efficient and create more wealth. You can probably see this in the screenshots of his remarks. The Fed hearing on artificial intelligence on November 16 is important. The Fed is gradually exploring AI’s impact on the economy. For example, AI infrastructure had some impact on inflation in this week’s Wednesday CPI reading of 3.7%. How to measure AI’s impact on inflation going forward may be discussed at the hearing, and I’ll remind everyone when the time comes. I’ll regularly explain any important Fed news going forward#沃什IMF讲话
