#Anthropic披露Q3营收 Based on the current expected valuation of approximately $2 trillion, this IPO offers relatively poor risk-reward. A more appropriate positioning would be as a “high-volatility, high-attention AI infrastructure thematic stock,” rather than a high-quality asset with stable profitability already proven.

Where the listing process actually stands
As of October 14, 2026, Anthropic has not yet announced an official offering price. The company plans to disclose its third-quarter revenue to potential institutional investors this Wednesday, paving the way for subsequent pricing; the market generally expects the roadshow to begin as early as mid-November, with the listing targeted before Thanksgiving.
The claim that it could “set a new record for the world’s largest IPO” currently mainly refers to the possibility of record valuations and fundraising size; the final outcome will still depend on the bookbuilding and market subscription.

Why growth is so strong, yet the valuation remains expensive
The prospectus shows that Anthropic’s 2025 revenue was nearly $4.6 billion, up approximately 12-fold year over year; however, its operating loss widened to $8.06 billion. Of its net loss of approximately $42 billion, around $34 billion resulted from the accounting valuation impact of convertible instruments; actual operating pressure is still reflected in the operating loss. The core rationale supporting the high valuation is that AI revenue continues to expand rapidly. Preliminary second-quarter revenue exceeded $11.5 billion, compared with just $787 million in the same period last year. The problem is that the market has already priced in several years of rapid future growth.
Independent firm New Constructs estimates the company’s value at approximately $150 billion, about 92% below $2 trillion. Some public-market investors believe a reasonable valuation is closer to $1.5 trillion.

The risks that truly need monitoring
Customer concentration: The two largest customers contribute nearly one-quarter of revenue combined, and the major customers generally lack long-term contracts.
Massive computing investment: Computing and infrastructure spending reached $7.33 billion, accounting for more than half of operating expenses.
Founder-centric governance: The co-founders control 50.1% of voting rights through a special entity, limiting ordinary shareholders’ influence.
Safety and regulatory uncertainty: The prospectus devotes substantial space to risks such as model loss of control and information manipulation, while the commercial returns on related investments also remain unclear.
Anthropic is worth adding to the watchlist, but at the rumored valuation of $2 trillion, the margin of safety for participating at the IPO is low; what will truly determine the risk-reward is whether the final offering price is significantly below $2 trillion and whether Q3 revenue can validate a path toward annualized revenue at the $100 billion level.#WCTCS9
