Yesterday I looked at that LOAD on Solana.
I really want to rant about it. (That’s not to say it won’t go up later; the market controller can make it go up however they want.)
The DEV says small game developers don’t have money to develop games, so they need financing. After raising funds, most of their equity gets taken by investors and publishers, leaving developers unable to make money.
So the DEV created LOAD. Game developers issue tokens, and transaction taxes are used to subsidize game development, without having to give up any equity. A huge benefit for game developers.
So let me ask: Crypto is just an ATM, huh?
Capitalists are so evil—taking on the risk that game development might fail and their investment might go to zero in exchange for equity in the developers. Unbelievable.
Crypto is still better: issue a token and collect fees, while developers sit back and take the money. Once the game comes out, it has nothing to do with the token holders, who even have to help promote the game. The token only goes up if more people play the game. As for why it can go up, don’t ask.
After working on GameFi for so many years, it still comes down to the same old thing. Truly pathetic.
