Thailand opens door for Bitcoin and Ether ETFs listed on stock exchange

Thailand has taken a major step toward regulated crypto investing. On October 8, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) finalized 11 regulatory notices that will allow spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs to trade on the Thai Stock Exchange starting October 16, 2026. The move creates a supervised pathway for both retail and institutional investors to gain exposure to digital assets through domestic investment vehicles.
However, the framework is not an approval of any specific ETF products, and strict safeguards are being imposed.
