#CFTCProposesNewCryptoAssetMarket”Category $BTC $ETH $XRP $XLM

GM ☕ Woke up to a sharp red candle on my charts and a regulation headline naming the same coins I'm watching. I don't know what caused the drop and I don't need to. I trade what the chart shows. So here's my scorecard.

The headline in my words
A new federal rulebook for retail leveraged crypto trading, with anti-manipulation rules and proof-of-reserves requirements, plus a list of coins officially seen as "digital commodities". For someone who trades futures, clearer rules and verified reserves are a plus. What I'd watch is anything that touches leverage, because that's where volatility around the news would hit hardest. It's a proposal, not a done deal, so I'm not repositioning my whole book for it.

The scorecard

BTC (4H) at ~84,266. Verdict: wait, neutral short term
Price just dropped under both the 50 MA (84,788) and 99 MA (84,618) and is sitting right on the purple support at 84,013. RSI is about 40 and MACD is rolling over. The 200 MA is far below at 81,512.

If price reclaims 84,800 on a 4H close, I look for 86,000 then 86,727, stop under 84,000
If it closes under 84,013, I expect 83,300, stop above 84,800
My bigger buy zone is 82,500 to 82,300, where weekly support sits, stop under 81,800, targets 84,800 then 86,000

ETH (4H) at ~2,619. Verdict: oversold, don't short the low
ETH took the hardest hit. It lost the 50 and 99 MAs (both near 2,695) and is hugging the purple support at 2,611 with the 200 MA just under it at 2,597. RSI is about 32, which is oversold, and resistance is far above at 2,755.

Bounce long: 2,612 to 2,597, stop on a 4H close under 2,570, targets 2,660 then 2,695
If 2,597 breaks, I step aside or short toward 2,550, stop above 2,640
I'd rather wait for the bounce to short than sell the bottom of a flush

XRP (weekly!) at ~1.47. Verdict: the only one that still looks constructive
This is a weekly chart, so everything moves slowly. XRP recovered from about the 1.0 area in summer and is now pushing into the 50-week MA (1.518) and the resistance at 1.6055. RSI is about 54 and MACD is positive. The 200-week MA is at 1.265, and the 99-week MA is up at 2.017.

Breakout: a weekly close above 1.6055 opens the way toward 2.0
Pullback buy: 1.30 to 1.27 (200-week MA), stop below 1.15
Wide stops here, so I keep the size small

XLM (4H) at ~0.2066. Verdict: weakest chart, bearish bias
XLM fell through both MAs and is sitting on the 0.2062 support, with the 200 MA at 0.2007 below. RSI is about 35 and MACD is negative.

Short on a weak bounce into 0.2165 to 0.2194, stop above 0.2257, targets 0.2062 then 0.2007
If 0.2007 breaks, 0.1950 is next
I only turn bullish on a clean reclaim of 0.2194

XTZ (4H) at ~0.3141. Verdict: failed bounce, on the line
XTZ got rejected at 0.3416 and is back on the 0.3131 support. RSI is about 39, MACD is negative, and the 200 MA is at 0.2945.

If 0.3131 breaks on a 4H close, I short toward 0.2945, stop above 0.3226
Long only if it reclaims 0.3226 (the 50 MA), targeting 0.3416
This coin faded hard before, so small size only

My perspective, my plan, my status
Overall view: short term cautious, bigger picture still intact on BTC's weekly structure. My plan today: no chasing, orders only at the levels above, and I'd rather catch a bounce at support than sell into it. Current status: calm, light positions, spot untouched, and cash ready for a better price.

Which coin are you watching most after this drop, and are you buying the dip or waiting for it to break?
