SPCX IS BREAKING HIGHER — IS THIS THE START OF THE NEXT BIG MOVE?
SpaceX is back in the spotlight, and this time the price action is doing the talking.

SPCX is currently trading around $167.40, up roughly 5.3% on the session. The stock opened near $159.00 and pushed toward the $168 area, showing that buyers are aggressively defending the breakout zone. The important part for me is not simply the percentage gain. It is the combination of strong momentum, elevated trading activity and a series of fundamental catalysts arriving at the same time.

The recent move has been powerful. SPCX closed around $158.96 on October 2 after gaining 7.35%, with approximately 119.9 million shares traded. Before that, the stock had moved through the $150 area several times, creating a clear battle between buyers and sellers. Now price has pushed above that previous resistance and is testing the $167–$168 region.

WHY IS SPCX MOVING?

One major reason is SpaceX's increasingly busy launch schedule. The company is preparing for multiple important missions, including national-security launches, NASA missions, additional Starlink deployments and the highly watched Starship program. Recent successful missions have strengthened the market's confidence in SpaceX's ability to execute at scale.

But the SpaceX story is becoming much bigger than rockets.

Starlink remains one of the company's major growth engines, while AI and computing infrastructure are becoming increasingly important to the valuation story. Recent analyst research suggests SpaceX's computing business could become a substantial part of revenue as demand for AI infrastructure continues to expand. That means investors are increasingly valuing SpaceX across several businesses instead of looking at it only as a rocket company.

MY MARKET VIEW

At $167.40, my short-term view is bullish, but I would not chase a vertical candle blindly.

The most important zone now is $164–$168.

If SPCX can remain above $164–$165 after the initial momentum cools, the breakout structure remains healthy. A clean move above $168–$170 with strong volume could open the door toward $180 and potentially $190.

The next psychological resistance would be around $200.

A move from $167.40 to $180 would represent roughly 7.5% upside. A move toward $190 would be approximately 13.5%, while a move to $200 would represent around 19.5% upside.

However, the market does not move in a straight line.

If buyers fail to hold $164, I would watch $159–$160 as the first important support zone. That area is particularly interesting because today's opening was around $159 and the previous close was approximately $158.96. If price falls back below $159 with expanding selling volume, the breakout could temporarily weaken.

Below $159, the next area I would monitor is $150–$153. That zone has acted as an important trading area during the recent consolidation and could become the first major test for buyers if a deeper pullback develops.

THE BULL CASE

My bullish scenario is simple.

SPCX holds above $164–$165, breaks $168–$170, and volume continues to support the move.

In that situation, momentum traders could target $180 first, followed by $190 and eventually the psychological $200 level.

The bigger bullish thesis comes from SpaceX's combination of reusable launch technology, Starlink connectivity, national-security contracts and expanding AI infrastructure. Analysts are already assigning significantly higher long-term valuations based on the possibility that these businesses scale together. One recent Citi analysis even outlined an extremely long-term valuation scenario around $900 per share, although that should be viewed as a speculative long-term scenario rather than a near-term target.

THE BEAR CASE

The biggest short-term risk is not necessarily bad fundamentals.

It is simply that SPCX has moved very quickly.

After a 7.35% gain on October 2 and another roughly 5% move today, short-term traders may decide to take profits. That can produce a sharp pullback even while the long-term story remains bullish.
If $164 breaks, momentum can cool toward $159–$160.

If $159 fails decisively, I would then watch $150–$153.

A move below $150 would tell me that the current breakout is losing strength and that the market needs more time to rebuild momentum.

VOLUME MATTERS
Today's price action is also important because SPCX is trading with tens of millions of shares changing hands, while October 2 recorded roughly 119.9 million shares. That tells me this is not a quiet move with negligible participation. The market is actively repricing the stock.

For me, the next confirmation is therefore volume.

Price above $168 plus strong volume = bullish confirmation.

Price above $168 but rapidly falling volume = possible breakout exhaustion.

Price below $164 with heavy selling = warning signal.

Price reclaiming $170 after a brief pullback = stronger continuation setup.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

SPCX is becoming one of the most interesting assets to watch because the valuation story is expanding beyond the traditional aerospace sector.

SpaceX has rockets.

It has Starlink.

It has a massive satellite infrastructure opportunity.

It has government and defense-related demand.

And increasingly, it is positioning itself around AI computing infrastructure.

That combination creates a very different growth profile from a traditional aerospace company.

My conclusion is therefore constructive.

At $167.40, I remain bullish on the structure, but I would prefer confirmation above $168–$170 rather than blindly chasing the current candle.

For traders, the levels I am watching are:
$170 — breakout confirmation zone
$180 — first upside objective
$190 — next momentum target
$200 — major psychological resistance

$164–$165 — immediate support

$159–$160 — critical breakoutretest

$150–$153 — deeper support

My view: BULLISH ABOVE $164–$165.

If SPCX holds that zone and successfully breaks $168–$170 with strong volume, I believe the probability of another momentum leg toward $180–$190 increases significantly.

But if $159 is lost, I would step back and wait for the market to show a new structure instead of forcing a trade.

This is not about predicting every candle.

It is about identifying where buyers are proving their strength, where sellers can invalidate the setup, and where the next liquidity zone may sit.

SPCX is no longer just a space story.
The market is increasingly pricing it as a combination of space, connectivity, AI infrastructure and defense technology — and that is exactly why this chart deserves close attention.
