#PONSLaunchesCyclicalBuyback The Cyclical Buyback Engine: Inside PONS's Reflexive Tokenomics on Robinhood Chain

PONS has emerged as one of the more interesting tokenomic experiments of this cycle a launchpad token whose value capture is built on a self-reinforcing buyback-and-burn loop rather than on speculation alone. The mechanism is the story, and it is worth understanding precisely.

PONS is the native token of the Pons launchpad on Robinhood Chain, the memecoin launchpad and fee engine that has ridden Robinhood's retail on-ramp to become one of crypto's top fee generators. What distinguishes PONS from a typical launchpad token is where the protocol's revenue goes. The tokenomics are designed around a fixed supply and a buyback-and-burn mechanism, with a large share of protocol fees channeled back into the token.

The numbers give the reflexive loop its shape. Roughly 80% of protocol fees are directed into buybacks and burns, which is the "cyclical buyback" at the heart of the design: as activity on the launchpad grows, more fees accrue, more PONS is bought back, and more supply is removed from circulation which in turn tightens the float for the next cycle. The mechanism has already been working: approximately 29.34% of the PONS supply has been burned so far. The fee-split structure reinforces the priority order, with the protocol taking its share first, then routing funds to the buyback, then to creators.

The catalyst that put PONS on the broader market's radar was institutional. On September 4, PONS announced that **Uniswap Labs had purchased a stake** in the project, which sent the token surging roughly 40% in 24 hours to a new all-time high around $0.73–$0.75. The move was a credibility signal a major DeFi player validating a launchpad and its tokenomics and it has been followed by a continued re-rating of Pons as the primary memecoin launchpad and fee generator on Robinhood Chain, with the token posting further double-digit gains in the following weeks.

The comparison that keeps coming up is Pump.fun, and the contrast is instructive. Pons channels a large share of protocol revenue directly into PONS burns, uses tokenized US stocks and stablecoins as quote assets, and leans on Robinhood's branding and gas-free onboarding to lower retail friction. That combination a high-volume fee generator with a shrinking float is what gives the "cyclical buyback" narrative its power.

The reflexive design cuts both ways, of course: the same loop that compounds on the way up can unwind if launchpad activity cools, because buyback pressure is a function of fee revenue. But for now, the mechanics are the moat. PONS is not just a token it is a flywheel, and the cyclical buyback is the engine.
