🔥 NVIDIA $150 BILLION BUYBACK — THE AI POWERHOUSE IS TURNING MASSIVE GROWTH INTO SHAREHOLDER VALUE

NVIDIA has delivered another major announcement that puts its extraordinary financial strength directly into focus. On September 28, NVIDIA’s Board authorized an additional $150 billion for share repurchases, increasing the remaining authorization to approximately $235 billion through fiscal 2028. This is not $150 billion that NVIDIA has already spent; it is authorization that gives the company the ability to repurchase shares over time. The scale is remarkable because NVIDIA’s new $150 billion increase is the largest single share-repurchase authorization increase in history.

The numbers behind NVIDIA make this announcement even more impressive. In fiscal Q2 2027, NVIDIA generated $96.2 billion in quarterly revenue, up an extraordinary 106% year over year and 18% quarter over quarter. Data Center revenue reached $89.0 billion, increasing 117% year over year and 18% from the previous quarter. GAAP net income reached $59.7 billion, up 126% year over year, while GAAP diluted EPS reached $2.46, up 128% year over year. NVIDIA also reported a 75.0% GAAP gross margin, compared with 72.4% a year earlier. These percentages show why NVIDIA has the financial capacity to simultaneously invest aggressively in AI and return enormous amounts of capital to shareholders.

NVIDIA’s shareholder-return numbers are already huge. During fiscal Q2, the company returned approximately $26.0 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and cash dividends, while approximately $99.0 billion remained under the previous authorization at the end of the quarter. The new $150 billion authorization therefore takes the remaining capacity to approximately $235 billion. In simple terms, NVIDIA is creating an enormous financial runway for future share repurchases while its core AI business continues generating extraordinary revenue and profits.

The mathematics of a buyback is also extremely important for NVDA shareholders. If NVIDIA earns the same amount of money but reduces its diluted share count, each remaining share represents a larger portion of those earnings. For example, $100 billion of earnings divided across 10 billion shares equals $10 EPS. If the share count falls to 9 billion while earnings remain $100 billion, simplified EPS becomes approximately $11.11, an increase of about 11.1%. In reality, NVIDIA’s earnings, share count, compensation, valuation and repurchase prices will all change, but this example explains why buybacks can create additional per-share growth.

Now connect that mathematics with NVIDIA’s AI growth. Revenue is already $96.2 billion per quarter, Data Center revenue is $89.0 billion, Data Center growth is 117% year over year, net income growth is 126%, and diluted EPS growth is 128%. NVIDIA has also guided for approximately $108.0 billion of fiscal Q3 revenue, plus or minus 2%, which would represent another massive level of quarterly sales if achieved.

The company’s financial performance is therefore not being driven by a small improvement in demand; it is being driven by a huge expansion in AI infrastructure spending.

This is exactly why NVIDIA deserves so much attention in the AI market. NVIDIA has built an ecosystem around accelerated computing that includes GPUs, networking, software, CUDA, AI platforms and developer technologies. Its advantage is not simply that it sells powerful chips; its broader platform is deeply connected to how AI models are trained, deployed and scaled.

NVIDIA’s latest results show that this ecosystem is translating into extraordinary commercial demand, with Data Center revenue alone reaching $89.0 billion in one quarter. The company has also said that its AI infrastructure buildout is continuing at full speed, while its latest Vera Rubin platform is ramping into production.

The market reaction also shows how investors immediately noticed the announcement. Reports on September 28 indicated that NVDA shares rose more than 2% after the buyback announcement before giving back part of the move. That reaction matters because the broader technology market was not moving in exactly the same direction at the time, meaning the buyback announcement itself became an important catalyst for NVIDIA.

However, traders should remember that a one-day percentage move does not determine the long-term impact of a $235 billion authorization

For NVDA traders, price levels still matter. A fundamental announcement can strengthen the long-term story while the stock remains volatile in the short term.

Traders should monitor the current market price, daily percentage change, volume, recent high, recent low, support zones and resistance zones rather than assuming that the buyback guarantees an immediate continuation. If price moves above a major resistance area with strong volume and sustained momentum, that can provide technical confirmation. If price loses important support with heavy selling volume, a pullback can still happen even while NVIDIA’s fundamental story remains strong.

The biggest point is that NVIDIA now has two powerful engines working together: extraordinary AI-driven business growth and massive capital-return capacity. The latest quarter produced $96.2 billion in revenue, $59.7 billion in GAAP net income and $2.46 GAAP diluted EPS.

Revenue grew 106%, Data Center revenue grew 117%, net income grew 126%, and diluted EPS grew 128%. At the same time, NVIDIA has expanded its remaining buyback authorization to approximately $235 billion. Few corporate-finance announcements can be separated from such a powerful combination of growth and cash generation.

There is still an important risk side.

The $235 billion authorization does not mean NVIDIA will immediately spend the entire amount, and buybacks cannot guarantee that NVDA will rise. The actual benefit depends on how much NVIDIA spends, the average price paid for shares, the reduction in diluted shares, future earnings growth, stock-based compensation, valuation, AI capital expenditure and broader market conditions.

Competition, semiconductor supply, export restrictions, customer spending cycles and changes in AI investment can also affect future results. Investors should therefore follow actual repurchase activity instead of treating the headline authorization as guaranteed buying pressure.

For the Gate community, NVIDIA is an excellent example of why investors should look beyond a headline and study the numbers behind it. A $150 billion additional authorization is enormous, but the real story becomes even stronger when it is placed beside $96.2 billion quarterly revenue, 106% year-over-year revenue growth, $89.0 billion Data Center revenue, 117% Data Center growth, $59.7 billion GAAP net income, 126% net-income growth, $2.46 GAAP EPS, 128% EPS growth and a 75.0% gross margin. These numbers demonstrate the extraordinary scale at which NVIDIA is currently operating.

My focus from here is simple: watch the actual buyback spending, diluted share count, EPS growth, free cash flow, Data Center revenue, AI infrastructure demand, quarterly guidance, NVDA price, percentage movement, volume, support and resistance. The $150 billion authorization is not merely a headline; it gives NVIDIA enormous flexibility to return capital while continuing to invest in the technologies powering the AI revolution.

NVIDIA has already transformed itself from a graphics-focused semiconductor company into a central platform for accelerated computing and AI infrastructure. Its current numbers show extraordinary growth, its ecosystem continues expanding, and its cash-generation capacity now supports a massive shareholder-return program. The $150 billion authorization does not remove market risk, but it adds another powerful dimension to the NVIDIA story: if the company continues growing earnings at scale while reducing its share count through actual repurchases, the potential effect on per-share financial performance can become increasingly significant.

That is why this announcement deserves attention. NVIDIA is not only participating in the AI revolution; it is converting the enormous demand for AI computing into revenue, profit, cash generation, innovation and shareholder returns. With approximately $235 billion of remaining repurchase authorization through fiscal 2028, the next chapters of the NVIDIA story will be closely connected to both AI growth and capital allocation. For NVDA investors and traders, the numbers to watch are now clearer than ever: price, percentage change, volume, earnings, EPS, Data Center growth, free cash flow, diluted shares and actual buyback execution.
