#Share My Holding Returns
My Mid-Autumn BTC Trade: Staying Long and Watching for 87K
Since it's trade-share day for the Mid-Autumn campaign, figured I'd put my actual position out there instead of just talking theory.
I'm currently long BTC from an entry around 84,350, targeting 87,369, with my stop set at 82,273. Position's still open — I haven't touched it, just holding and letting it play out. Given how choppy the last week has been (BTC tagged $87K, got rejected hard on that stronger-than-expected PMI print and the 10-year yield spike, then round-tripped back toward the mid-$80,000s before stabilizing), I wanted an entry with a defined risk level rather than chasing the move, and 84,350 was where I felt comfortable sizing in with my stop tucked below recent support.
My personal read: I'm still bullish on BTC here. My own expectation — and I want to be clear this is just my view, not something I'd call a sure thing — is that BTC works its way toward 90K sometime next week if the current range holds and buyers defend the 82K-84K zone the way they have on the last couple of dips. That's the thesis behind why I'm not touching the stop even after the pullback we just saw: 82,273 is below the level I think matters structurally, so as long as price stays above that, I'm treating the recent volatility as noise inside an uptrend rather than a reason to bail early.
To be fair to the other side of this: if 82K breaks with any real volume behind it, I'll take the stop and reassess rather than moving it lower — the whole point of having it there is that I don't get to change my mind mid-trade just because I don't like being wrong. Macro is still the wildcard (yields, Fed expectations) and that's the main thing that could invalidate this faster than anything crypto-specific.
Not financial advice. Always do your own research before making any trading or investment decision.
Here is the question for discussion: What's everyone else holding into this Mid-Autumn week — are you playing the BTC range the same way, or are you rotating into alts on this dip?
