BTC is back above $80,000, and this move looks more interesting to me because of where the reclaim happened. Price is now around $81,300, while the important reclaim area sits between $80,000 and $80,600. The key thing I am watching now is not simply whether BTC can touch $81,000+, but whether it can actually hold the reclaimed zone after the breakout.

The first level that stands out is $80,600. BTC has already moved through this area, so a successful retest here would turn the previous resistance into a potential short-term support zone. If price keeps holding above $80,000–$80,600 with healthy activity, the current structure remains constructive. A sustained move back below this range would make the breakout less convincing and bring the lower support area back into focus.

Above the current price, $81,300–$81,500 is the immediate resistance I would keep on the chart. A clean break through this zone would show that buyers are still willing to chase the move at higher prices. Until that happens, this area can also produce short-term rejection, especially if volume starts falling while price continues pushing upward.

Looking underneath, the next meaningful support is around $78,300–$79,000. That zone is much more important if BTC loses the $80,000 area because it would show whether the market is simply experiencing a normal retest or giving back a larger part of the recent move.

The momentum indicators are still supporting the upside structure. RSI(14) is around 67.4, which shows strong momentum but is also getting closer to the higher end of the recent range. MACD remains bullish, while BTC is trading above the 20-MA near $80,597 and the 50-MA near $78,349. That combination keeps the short-term structure positive as long as price remains above those moving-average areas.

Another number worth remembering is the recent $80,587 high from September 18. BTC has now reclaimed that region and pushed higher, with the market gaining more than 5% during the move. This makes $80,587–$80,600 a useful reference point: holding above it would give the breakout more technical confirmation, while falling back below it would put the reclaim under pressure.

For the next move, I would read the chart in stages rather than chasing one candle: $80,600 hold → $81,300–$81,500 test → volume confirmation → continuation or rejection. At the same time, Gate derivatives data such as 24H volume, open interest, funding rates and liquidations can show whether the move is supported by fresh positioning or becoming excessively leveraged.

Right now the important part of the BTC structure is simple: $80,000–$80,600 is the reclaim zone, $81,300–$81,500 is the immediate test, and $78,300–$79,000 is the deeper support area. Price alone tells only part of the story; volume, OI, funding and liquidation data will determine how convincing this $80,000 reclaim really is.
