My Trading Rules
These are the rules I follow throughout my trading journey. They are not about making quick profits — they are about protecting my capital, controlling my emotions, and staying disciplined.
1. Control Your Emotions
Before, during, and after every trade, pay attention to how you feel. Keep notes about your emotions and learn to recognize fear, greed, FOMO, frustration, and overconfidence before they influence your decisions.
2. Be Patient and Disciplined
Trading can be boring when there are no quality setups — and that's completely normal. Never force a trade just because you want to be in the market. Wait for your setup, follow your plan, and let the market come to you.
3. Risk Only 2% Per Trade
Protecting capital comes first. I aim to risk no more than 2% of my trading capital on a single trade. One trade should never be important enough to damage my account.
4. Stop Watching P&L During a Trade
Once I'm in a trade, I focus on executing my strategy rather than constantly watching the profit or loss. The goal is to follow the plan, not to react emotionally to every price movement.
5. Never Let Ego Control My Decisions
The market does not care about my opinion. If my analysis is wrong, I accept it and exit according to my plan. There is no need to prove myself right against the market.
6. Build Healthy Habits Outside Trading
Trading is not my entire life. Wake up with purpose, exercise regularly, spend quality time with family, get enough rest, and maintain a balanced lifestyle. A healthier mind helps me make clearer decisions in the market.
7. Study the Market Before Entering
Before taking any position, I check three things: Market Structure, Key Zones, and News. I want to understand where price is, what the structure is telling me, and whether any important news could change the setup.
8. Never Trade With Borrowed Money
I will never trade with money that I have borrowed or taken as a loan. Trading should never create unnecessary financial pressure.
9. Trade Only With Money I Can Afford to Lose
If losing the money would affect my peace of mind, daily life, or financial stability, then I am risking too much. Protecting my financial and mental well-being is more important than any potential trade.
My Main Rule
Protect the capital. Control the emotions. Follow the plan. Let the opportunities come naturally.
I don't need to trade every day. I only need to trade when my setup is there.
