UPTREND CONTINUE
Zcash (ZEC) continues to maintain a powerful bullish structure after rising 6.95% in the last 24 hours to around $1,584.97, while its 7-day gain has reached 34.77%. Price remains above the major moving averages, confirming that the broader trend is still strong. The rally is being supported by 16 consecutive days of net inflows into the Grayscale Zcash ETF, renewed privacy-coin momentum and short covering. However, the speed of the move is also creating short-term risks. Daily and 4-hour RSI are already in overbought territory, while a major whale has recently moved ZEC toward an exchange after approximately 10 months. The bigger trend remains strong, but volatility and profit-taking risk are clearly increasing.
SECTOR MOMENTUM
ZEC has broken above the important $1,500 psychological level and reached the $1,588 area, while social-media attention has climbed to a monthly peak. The move has also increased interest across the privacy-coin sector. Strong momentum can attract additional capital, but after such a large advance, chasing price becomes increasingly risky. The $1,588 area is an important immediate resistance zone, while $1,520 is a key short-term support reference. Holding above support would preserve the current structure, while a deeper breakdown could trigger a larger profit-taking phase.
ETF INFLOW
The Grayscale Zcash ETF has become one of the strongest narratives behind the current rally. The ETF has reportedly recorded 16 consecutive trading days of net inflows, with cumulative inflows exceeding $233 million in less than a month and net assets approaching approximately $890 million. The latest reported session saw around $270 million of net inflow. This matters because sustained ETF demand represents capital entering ZEC through a regulated investment channel rather than purely short-term speculative trading. The announced 3:1 share split does not increase investors' total value; it reduces the per-share price and can improve accessibility and liquidity. Continued ETF inflows would remain an important structural factor for ZEC and the wider privacy-coin narrative.
LEVERAGE BATTLE
The derivatives market is adding another layer to the rally. Traders holding high-leverage longs are sitting on significant unrealized gains, creating potential profit-taking pressure, while a large short bias means further upside can force bearish traders to close positions and buy back ZEC. Approximately $105,000 in short liquidations was reported near $1,461, demonstrating how quickly leverage can fuel the move. The key risk is that elevated leverage can accelerate both directions. If spot demand remains strong, short covering can push price higher; if momentum weakens, long liquidation can create a rapid correction.
NFT BUZZ
ZEC's rising social activity has also increased attention toward its NFT ecosystem. Community discussions have highlighted NFT floor prices around 2.2 ZEC and reported secondary-market activity of approximately 1,000 ETH. These figures should be treated carefully because NFT liquidity can be much thinner than major spot markets. The broader signal is that Zcash is receiving increased attention beyond the token itself. However, speculative NFT activity should not automatically be interpreted as sustainable fundamental demand for ZEC.
MAJOR EVENTS
ETF INFLOWS AND SPLIT
The combination of more than $233 million in reported ETF inflows, approximately $890 million in net assets and 16 consecutive inflow sessions has strengthened the institutional-demand narrative around ZEC. The reported single-day inflow of roughly $270 million is particularly notable because it shows demand has continued beyond the initial listing period. The 3:1 share split is primarily a structural adjustment that lowers the per-share price without changing the underlying total value. If strong inflows continue, regulated demand could provide an important source of support for ZEC.
WHALE FIRST DEPOSIT
On-chain data reportedly shows a whale transferring approximately $362.56 million worth of ZEC, with around $15 million deposited to Coinbase. This was reportedly the address's first exchange deposit in 10 months, while its holdings carry more than $200 million in unrealized gains. The $15 million deposit represents only a small portion of the larger transfer, so it does not prove that a major sell-off is coming. However, because the holder has substantial unrealized profits, additional exchange deposits deserve close monitoring. Continued whale inflows to exchanges would create a clearer potential selling-pressure signal.
8×GAIN IN SIX MONTH
ZEC has delivered an extraordinary recovery from its six-month lows, gaining approximately eight times and pushing market capitalization toward $26.4 billion. This transformation has created a strong short-squeeze characteristic because many bearish positions remain under pressure. If shorts continue covering, their forced buying can provide additional upside fuel. At the same time, an eightfold move means early holders have enormous unrealized profits, so even normal profit-taking can produce sharp corrections. The strength of the trend and the risk of a violent pullback can therefore exist at the same time.
BREAK ABOVE $1500
Breaking above $1,500 was an important psychological and technical milestone. The breakout increased attention toward ZEC and helped lift sentiment across other privacy-focused assets. However, a price breakout alone does not guarantee sustainable continuation. Stronger confirmation comes from continued spot demand, ETF flows, healthy liquidity and the ability to hold the breakout zone. For that reason, maintaining levels above $1,500 is now more important than simply printing another short-term high.
NETWORK OPTIMIZATION
Zcash developers have indicated continued efforts to improve network performance and transaction speed. From a long-term perspective, better efficiency can support usability and adoption. However, no specific implementation timeline or measurable performance improvement has yet been provided in the information available here. Therefore, this remains more relevant to the long-term fundamental narrative than to the immediate price move, which is currently being driven more strongly by ETF flows, market positioning and momentum.
TECHNICAL SIGNAL
FINDING STRUCTURE
ZEC's derivatives structure remains highly interesting. Open interest is around $3.27 billion, showing substantial leverage around the current move. The market-wide long/short account ratio is approximately 0.45, indicating that shorts remain dominant. The taker buy/sell ratio around 1.0076 shows a slight buying bias, while funding is approximately -0.000586%, remaining marginally negative. This combination means a large bearish derivatives position exists while price continues moving upward. If spot demand remains strong, short covering could accelerate the rally. But elevated open interest also means volatility can increase sharply if momentum reverses.
INVESTOR SENTIMENT
Overall sentiment remains warm. The market-wide Fear & Greed Index is around 74, while ZEC's social sentiment score is approximately 0.709 and remains bullish. Trend-strength indicators are also strong, with 1-hour ADX around 28.62, 4-hour ADX around 54.05 and daily ADX around 61.32. These readings indicate that the move has meaningful directional strength across multiple timeframes. However, ADX measures trend strength rather than guaranteeing the next direction. With RSI already elevated, strong momentum can still be followed by consolidation.
RISK WARNING
TECHNICAL OVERBOUGHT: Daily and 4-hour RSI have entered overbought territory, while 1-hour RSI is around 60.07. ZEC is also trading close to the upper Bollinger Band near $1,603.65. This does not automatically mean a reversal must occur, because strong trends can remain overbought for extended periods. It does mean that short-term pullback and consolidation risk is increasing.
ON-CHAIN POTENTIAL SELLING PRESSURE: The reported $15 million Coinbase deposit from a whale holding substantial unrealized profits is an important risk signal. One deposit does not confirm a major sell-off, especially because it represents only a small portion of the total transfer. The key data to watch is whether additional large ZEC deposits appear on exchanges.
NARRATIVE AND TRUST RISK: ZEC's explosive rally has brought increased discussion around privacy coins and claims concerning projects described by market participants as "fake privacy coins." Such debates can influence sector sentiment and community trust. Traders should separate verified on-chain and fundamental data from social-media speculation.
ZEC is currently combining strong momentum, institutional-flow support, short-heavy derivatives positioning and renewed privacy-sector attention. At the same time, the approximately eightfold six-month advance, overbought technical readings, elevated open interest and potential whale profit-taking create meaningful volatility risk. The key areas remain around $1,588 resistance and $1,520 support. The most important signals from here are ETF flows, whale exchange deposits, open interest, funding, liquidation activity and whether ZEC can maintain its breakout structure. The trend remains powerful, but after such a large move, disciplined risk management becomes increasingly important.
