How to trade the weekend market? I’m more focused on “volatility” than direction
The market never closes on weekends, and its biggest appeal is not simply that we can trade every day, but that new variables may emerge at any time. Cryptocurrencies operate 24/7, while stock tokens have brought popular U.S. stock assets on-chain, so weekend trading options are indeed becoming more diverse.
If I had to assess the weekend market, I wouldn’t simply call for a “surge” or a “crash”; I’d prefer to look for direction amid range-bound trading. The reason is simple: weekend liquidity is relatively limited, making prices prone to sharp rallies or plunges. Getting the direction right does not necessarily mean the trade will be profitable.
Between cryptocurrencies and stock tokens, I would prioritize cryptocurrencies. The advantage of stock tokens is that they allow trading around hot themes such as AI and technology stocks, but with traditional stock markets closed on weekends, many stocks lack real-time fundamental catalysts.
BTC is different. It trades around the clock and is itself a global market. Whenever market sentiment changes, the price responds promptly.
If I could choose only one asset, I would still put BTC at the top of my watchlist. But my trading logic would not be that “BTC must rise”; I would wait for the price to provide confirmation. A breakout of a key level accompanied by trading volume could justify following the trend; if the price quickly retreats after surging, one should beware of a false breakout.
Ultimately, weekend trading is not about who is bolder, but about who can keep their hands under control. #每周来晒 and #AreYouBullishOrBearishOnTheWeekendMarket
The market operates 24/7, but our capital does not need to work around the clock.
So share your weekend plan: bullish, bearish, or staying on the sidelines? BTC, ETH, or AI stock tokens? If you could choose only one, which would you pick?
