#JapanRealEstatePowerChipStocksRise
I’m looking at Japan today and one thing stands out to me: the opportunity is no longer limited to crypto.
On September 18, Japanese markets remained firmly on the radar as investors continued watching real estate, power and semiconductor-related stocks. Japan is also becoming increasingly important in the global AI and semiconductor investment cycle, with Japan and the US reportedly discussing a major semiconductor factory project as part of their broader investment framework.
But what I find more interesting is what this means for traders like us.
A few years ago, if I wanted to move from crypto into Japanese equities, I would have needed a completely different brokerage setup, different market access and potentially another currency conversion. That creates friction, especially when the opportunity appears quickly.
Gate is trying to remove a lot of that friction.
Gate has now expanded its stock ecosystem across the US, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan, with more than 12,840 stocks and ETFs across these markets according to Gate’s latest platform information. The Japanese expansion started with around 300 Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed stocks, including major names such as Toyota, Sony, SoftBank Group, Mitsubishi UFJ, Nintendo and Tokyo Electron.
And this is where I see the real opportunity.
You are not forced to look at only one market.
If US technology is moving, you can explore US stocks. If Hong Kong becomes active, you can look there. If Korean semiconductor companies attract attention, that market is available too. And now, when Japanese technology, semiconductor, financial, consumer or industrial stocks become the focus, Japan is part of the same ecosystem.
For crypto traders, the USDT settlement is another interesting part.
Gate says Japanese stocks can be traded using USDT, while prices and portfolio values are displayed in Japanese yen. This means crypto-native users can access Japanese equities without having to separately fund a traditional Japanese brokerage account or manually convert their trading capital into yen.
Gate’s Japanese stock offering also supports familiar trading functions such as real-time quotes, stock search, watchlists, buying and selling, order modification and cancellation, position tracking, transaction history and portfolio P&L. Fractional trading is also supported across Gate’s stock infrastructure, with purchases as small as 0.01 shares where applicable.
The trading hours are also important. Japanese equities on Gate follow Japan market hours, currently 09:00–11:30 and 12:30–15:25 JST, with a midday break. So this is not a 24/7 market like crypto — you still need to respect the actual exchange schedule.
And Gate is not stopping at ordinary stocks.
Its broader TradFi ecosystem includes stocks, tokenized stocks, CFDs and perpetual futures, alongside crypto, gold and metals, forex, indices and commodities. Gate also offers tools such as TP/SL, TradingView charts, copy trading, trading bots, ETFs and options, depending on product and regional availability.
That is the part I keep coming back to.
The market does not care whether I am personally watching BTC today or Japanese semiconductor stocks tomorrow. Capital rotates. Narratives rotate. Volatility rotates.
So I want my market access to be flexible enough to rotate with it.
Today Japan is getting attention.
Tomorrow it could be US AI stocks.
After that, Korean semiconductors, Hong Kong technology, gold, oil or crypto.
For me, Gate’s biggest opportunity is not simply giving traders another list of assets. It is bringing different markets into one trading ecosystem and letting crypto users gradually expand into traditional markets without completely changing their workflow.
12,800+ stocks and ETFs.
US. Hong Kong. Korea. Japan.
Crypto alongside global TradFi.
USDT-based access across supported markets.
The world’s markets are becoming more connected.
I’d rather have access to more of them than watch the opportunity from the sidelines.

The Nikkei 225 closed up 1.38%, while semiconductor-related stocks remained active; meanwhile, the Bank of Japan just raised interest rates to 1.25%, fueling further discussion about a potential sector rotation in Japanese stocks.
Now the question is—
For this round of Japanese stock gains, are you more bullish on real estate, power, or semiconductors? 👀
