I. Can the ecosystem’s popularity continue?
1. Long-term popularity depends on the implementation of institutional business (popularity may continue, but time is needed for validation)
Arc is positioned as an “institutional-grade settlement blockchain,” backed by Circle’s USDC ecosystem and endorsed by Wall Street giants such as BlackRock and Visa. Its technical architecture and compliance narrative have long-term value.
However, Arc’s grand narratives—RWA tokenization and AI Agent payments—remain at the planning and partnership-intention stages. The migration of large-scale institutional funds and business operations will take time (expected in 2027 and beyond).
Therefore, the ecosystem’s long-term popularity depends on whether real business can translate into actual on-chain transaction volume, which will be difficult to fully realize in the short term.
2. Short-term popularity is affected by fading sentiment and speculation (popularity has cooled significantly)
On the first day of the mainnet launch, market confidence was undermined by the team’s livestream controversy (rumors of an “amateurish operation”) and excessive speculation surrounding meme coins in the ecosystem, triggering panic selling. At the same time, the Arc ecosystem’s early liquidity was insufficient, so even a small amount of selling could cause sharp fluctuations in token prices. Short-term interest has already faded substantially, and market sentiment will require considerable time to recover.
II. Bottom-fishing or waiting and watching?
My view is to “wait and watch” and not blindly bottom-fish for now because:
Extremely high risk and sharp volatility: Most Arc ecosystem tokens are early-stage projects with strong speculative characteristics and are highly sensitive to market sentiment. Their short-term price movements are difficult to predict, and blindly bottom-fishing can easily leave investors “stuck.”
Lack of solid fundamental support: The sharp declines in some tokens have already exposed the early ecosystem’s weakness of “emphasizing speculation over implementation.” Before real use cases and user numbers gain traction, token prices lack a firm value anchor.
Broader market and sentiment risks: The crypto market as a whole is affected by macro sentiment. If the broader market undergoes a correction, tokens in smaller ecosystems will face greater downward pressure.$ARC
