Development In Pakistan
Pakistan’s digital finance system is entering an important phase.
Today, PVARA hosted the World Bank Pakistan team for a discussion on the future of digital finance and emerging technologies.
The conversation covered some areas that deserve serious attention:

• Digital financial infrastructure
• Capital-market development
• Artificial intelligence
• Cybersecurity
• Private capital mobilisation
What caught my attention is how these topics are moving beyond technology discussions and into the broader economic policy agenda.
For Pakistan, this creates an opportunity to engage early, develop institutional capacity and explore how emerging technologies can support a more modern financial system.
But discussions are only the starting point.
The real progress will come from practical frameworks, capable institutions, strong cybersecurity and solutions that can work at scale.
Digital finance is not just about new technology.
It is about building the infrastructure and trust that allow people and businesses to use it.
Interesting times ahead for Pakistan’s digital economy.
